I'm pretty sure that just means you needed to update Central.elxsound wrote:Waves Central is such bullshit.
All I want to do is uninstall the expired demo to another bullshit product, Waves NX. Should be easy, right? No.
After f**king around with Waves Central and it not accepting my password I find that once you log into support there's the lovely message that Waves Central downloaded before August will not work.
Wait... Then what the f**k was that "checking for updates" BS I had to wait for when I first opened Waves Central?
THEN, after installing, and selecting "Uninstall" where I'm supposed to be able uninstall the individual plugins (like it says in the little box on the right), but the only option is to uninstall ALL Wave plugins. No, not user error... This is a thing.
Anyway, good to know as it reaffirms my commitment to never buying Waves products again. I was going to download a new demo of their electric pianos but f**k that. f**k Waves. Still love Maxx Bass and I wish I didn't because it remains the last reason I still user their products.
It's possible I'm missing something here, because I didn't read through all the posts. Too drained at the moment.

That's my experience as well. Waves Central works fine for me.ATS wrote:always been better than anything else for me. Extremely easy, especially compared to pretty much everyone else. Even easier than serials.

Do any of Waves MAC plugins run in 32 bit? I'm running OS 10.12.6. All my plugins are 32 bit. I'd upgrade them, but it'd cost a lot. I just can't afford it.

Not the current version I believe, I’m pretty sure you have to go back to version 9.6 for 32-bit.
I think it’s a safe bet to say, though, that any plugins released after then will almost definitely be 64-bit only.

The 32 bit plugins I have do run fine in 10.12.6. When I tried to move up to the next version, my DAW wouldn't fire up, so I had to step back down to 10.12.6. It's a drag because fewer and fewer companies are releasing stuff that runs in both 32 and 64. I'd love to upgrade, but I just don't have the dough. Thanks for the reply !!

Yeah I understand. The more powerful the computer, the more money you are looking at. It can get crazy expensive.heyitsjimi wrote:The 32 bit plugins I have do run fine in 10.12.6. Standards continually progressing, making older gear obsolete, doesn’t help.

2022 and Waves Central is still a complete nightmare if you don’t have the most up to date OS. Somehow previously managed to get two v12 plug-ins installed and working but now I can’t even do that!
I like the two that I’ve got, and I know Waves plug-ins are good, but it’s just too much of a headache trying to install anymore. I’m done with any further Waves plugins.

For the interests of balance…
I’ve complained bitterly about Waves Central for nearly a decade, it’s caused endless system issues. Over the last few months I’ve updated both my Windows 10 and Big Sur plugs to the latest versions on bundle upgrades, and in the case of Windows still need 32 bit vst versions to work on some of them. Then added a couple of freebies.
It’s gone flawlessly each time. Zero issues. For which I am absurdly grateful.

Well, that's not true at all, you must have some other issue with your system going on.Simon C wrote: Sun May 01, 2022 1:57 pm 2022 and Waves Central is still a complete nightmare if you don’t have the most up to date OS.
I'm on Win10 v1909, far from the latest most up to date OS. don't have an issue, it works fine, always has, I only just recently updated from v1903, and it worked fine on that, always did. By choice, I never keep my OS up to date, So

Waves Central needs a browser login to access, no doubt a sales tactic, I don't think it will be popular. Could it be another nail in the coffin?

Also can not install older version of Waves plugins any more.
Waves Central really can be a nightmare,
but to be fair, I experienced Waves Support to be great, they really try to solve a problem and they reply pretty quick!
But wouldn't a Waves Central version that once worked for you, still work, if you have same pc? So I do not understand why you can't download and install (all) older versions of WC to find the one that works for you !?
