How dare you to endanger my pocket... thinking about upgrade for a long time and successfully avoided it for the sake of my funds... and now you... have to think again... if I have to starve the next days because of substituting bread by upgrade, you are guilty, guy!crystalmsc wrote:Just upgraded to the Studio Bundle, the pro version is amazing with a detail editing compared to the stage. The Sound Recording output is what's been missing all this time. It has a detail microphone setting and made all the presets sounds better imho. Used to feel that synthetic sound with the Stage, but not anymore.Alex Cremers wrote:Pianoteq does get better and better ...quantum7 wrote:For lack of better words, it just sounds somewhat "plasticky" or "synthetic" to my ears.
I have a new favorite, the YC5 which has that Yamaha sound I've been looking for. Didn't really like the demo on Stage before, but it sounds different now. Also the Hohner is amazing, especially the low register. The same with EPs, after adjusting the the tine's noise it's becoming much better now. To get the most it's recommended to at least upgrade to the Standard version, the extra parameters are worth it.

I wonder if using Stage with IK Multimedia Mic Room might have a similar effect? Would you mind downloading the free demo and trying it out?crystalmsc wrote:Just upgraded to the Studio Bundle, the pro version is amazing with a detail editing compared to the stage. I don't think it could replace the internal output, especially since it's applied specifically to each patch and piano model. The mic placement works best that way. Besides that, I'd rather have the extra parameters instead of using another application.

I upgraded from Stage to Standard in the end of July, taking advantage of their special offer. After reading about version 6 here, I went to my account, and I was pleasantly surprised by seeing that Pianoteq 6 was there, waiting for me
Thanks Moddart. That's what makes me a customer for life. Anytime I have a chance, I will expand my model collection.

Just a short question about panning:
I want to pan low notes to the left and high notes to the right, but I didn't find any option in Pianoteq to achieve this?
My version: V5 Stage.

There are probably other ways, but (1) use "player" presets or (2) try binaural. Standard and Pro give you near-limitless microphone positioning capabilities. You then can also direct a microphone to left/right channels (and surround in Pro I believe).Chris-S wrote:Just a short question about panning:

Hi. I am using Ivory II. Can anyone say something about the differences here? I find the only real good sounding one is the Steinway model D German. Thank you.

Over 75gb less install space though infinitely more versatile/configurable for onenichttuntun wrote:Hi. I am using Ivory II. Can anyone say something about the differences here
