Thanks for the heads up.574X wrote: Thankfully, in Melda's recent update to version 11, they now have excellent skins and finally MLimiter is now called MSaturator.
I highly recommend downloading the huge update
Gonna check it out.

No, from mulab I just used gainers (for sidechain, and for some gain automation)Did you use a mulab limiter or something?
I didn't know that, I ignore that odd/even harmonics slider, I haven't noticed any difference with it .MLimiter is not really a limiter, it's an excellent saturator providing control over both odd and even harmonics.
To be honest, I just learned about saturators today, so I don't know exactly how to use them, I just use a limiter to prevent my meters go red, and to add some punchyness to the kick & snare.
I'm an ignorant in some technical aspects (mixing, mastering etc ...), I just follow my ears, apply EQ when I feel like it needs some, sidechain, and that's it
I don't know if that's enough, but to my ears it sounds more or less ok, anyway, I want to study/learn more about mixing.
I'm updating nowI highly recommend downloading the huge update - they also added auto-gain matching, ratio-mixing tools, and MCompressor has gained a crucial auxiliary sidechain input (and will probably become my default sidechain compressor).

Have listened to all the tracks (many of them are second or third time listen for me) and just wanted to intimate here that I have given my votes for all the tracks.
Cheers!

On to Taron's synth then.

Voted. Lots of 5s. Will admit I favoured tracks that transcended the limitations of the original hardware.

Voted. was rather easy this month, decent amount of 5s this time.
I get the feeling that I won't win anytime soon, but hey. I'm just here to get better and if I win, I win.

Hi everyone,
I stick to my troll-voting in that I use a "ranked" system...I tell you before hand so that you can give me names and adapt your voting to my track accordingly if you like
1. place and 5 points: MovieMovies1 "Sanctuary" - for the balls and the skillz to do the track in that quality with no FX and with sticking to the limitations of the old HW. BTW: Look at the fan base of this guy. 79 likes for his track and I bet only a very few of them out of the OSC universe!
2. place and 4 points: Kraftraum "Rotation 26 (Robotik KI)" - This is simply kraftwerk and I like kraftwerk. Apart from that kraftraum shows tremendous mixing skills and has created a well balanced track in all sorts of ways...it has melody, it has mixing skills, it has a well layed out freq spectrum, it has sound FX but not to an extent the you would say this set of SFX is sometimes interrupted by some music and melody, the song has structure, it develops...if not for MovieMovies1 it would have been my winner
3. place and 3 points: Richard Semper "Unspritely Behaviour" - For I have done programming sprites myself in the past and his track created a movie in my head: "I was the main character in a 8 bit jump and run and ran from left to right jumping over obstacles and avoiding fast flying sprite enemies...". Apart from that, the same as for kraftraum is true here.
4. place and 2 points: TrojakEW "Wasteland" - For transporting pure ENERGY and gave me shivers (that was by the way a thing that I missed with all the bangerz tracks...just SFX in a row...though you guys show amazing skillz inbetween SFX orgies). And I bet as from OSC98 you know I love strong percussions. It makes me want to treat a big Taiko with all my energy myself...I feel the track has some mixing problems, at least in my listening situation I have some resonances...anyway...whenever my head starts slightly noding, I know I have to listen carefully...
5. place and 1 point: All the Rest. Sorry, this is not meant disrespectful, I can literaly feel how much blood, sweat and effort went into your tracks, but I have my clear favourites and I want them to be top of the charts, so I have to do some trade offs...being polite or vote how I feel I should vote.
Anyway, I published my votes before, please feel free to interprete them as you like and react upon them according to your gut feeling.
See you all in #101 (if you don't decide to give me a nice tars and feathers treatment after my voting), LotS is way to weird for me...
Can I cast a +1 for Mr. 574Xs suggestion to go for some "other" synths in #101, like the one called "black"...see general discussion thread.
