I see the link but this wasn't my point. I think many people don't bother to read this thread because they have to leave the forum to find out what this software is, what it does. And if you're not at home on a computer and the target site is not responsive or slow, you lose interest and never come back. Just saying, a professional release thread should include all necessary details about its software.

I think you've misunderstood the function of the 'sneak peek'.

Well I am just a "toonertik" not a "SmartCat" and even I could figure it all out...
Thought about changing your nik?

True, maybe I´m wrong and this is not the official announcement thread of Precedence by the developer, but I didn´t find any other.

If you take a look at the first post of the Breeze thread by the same company, this is what I was expecting:
viewtopic.php?f=6&t=304721

You have all the information including images, features, versioning etc.. in the first post. Excellent.

you link a 96 page thread that started Dec 12 , 2010 ...
the first post and title were edited and updated March 03 , 2018 , w/ all the info of which you are so enamored .

the thread reaches Jan. 04 , 2018 on page 50 ...
precedence , the product of which you critique the 'roll-out' , is teased on page 88 ...

precedence , and breeze 2 , are intrinsically tied products , working in consort ...
they were promoted together , and are due a large , free update in Jan. 2019 ...

It evolved, if you had followed it from the start you would know that, coming at it from your angle I can see how it looks but you need to factor in history.

I think SmartCat certainly has a point and wonder what's up with the sort of agressive replies he's receiving. What's that? A sad display of Fanboism or what?

If I was entirely new to KVR (or let's say had not been here for a few months) and would visit this thread (for instance coming from the Precedence product page at KVR) I'd certainly start with the first post on page one of this thread to see what it's all about. I wouldn't want to have to wade through a dozen of forum pages for that info.

For that reason, it is very very common for developers to edit the first post of a thread about a new product multiple times.

This is also exactly what happened with the Breeze thread:

viewtopic.php?t=304721

Between December 2010 and October 2018 the initial post has been edited 18 times.

Here Andrew didn't do it for some reason. Perhaps he's just so busy these days that he overlooked it somehow.

So I think SmartCat's point is valid constructive criticism. And the sort of flak he receives for it says a lot - just not about him or his point.

it's part of a subversive master plan to establish a new plugin world order #NpWO tm. :D

nah, i'm just not completely perfect it seems. My finance could have told you that... :D

OK, i'll add it.

(generally if we are quiet, it is because we are in OCD development mode, and that is the case now. We are adding more cool stuff to P and B. Specifically the "P-Link" topic in 1.0 was a temporary solution as we noted in the original release notes. We realize not everyone is going to make the effort to manually enter in matching values and this is rather tedious etc. So P-Link in 1.0 is more proof-of-concept. Proper P-Link is coming in Jan, along with some other things. So documenting the proof-of-concept state, or making videos etc was postponed until that is ready, and I suppose I felt the same about putting the full info in the first post here. But I can add it now due to request, sure...)

Most important add RTFM at the end of the info page ;)

You mean add a weblink to the PDF inside the plug-in, on the INFO page?

Oh i just mean in general people should be reminded to read a manual (me included).

Post

of course there should also BE/exist a manual, before we recommend to read it. ;-)

Added...

note it will change in an additive way in January. Nothing will be taken away from it, but more cool stuff/functionality will be added. Buy it today, for what it is now, not what it might hypothetically become -- I will not talk too much about what we are doing at the moment as it is better to sell products than promises.... but if you do, just be aware you will also get a second late Christmas preset in January. Call it a Russian Chistmas present, as Christmas in Russia is Jan 7, not Dec 25. ;-) Well, it will likely be late by Russian Christmas standards too, but perhaps a NAMM Christmas preset? Is that I thing? Can we make it a thing? :D

Also worth noting:
