Like Examigam mentioned :

1) Select the Synth layer
2) Click on Copy
3) Select what to copy from that synth layer
4) Select the destination synth layer
5) Click on Paste
6) Choose what to paste to the current destination layer

This was using Electra3 3.2.1

I got the money to buy an Electra3 the day after the Black Friday sale ended.
All shop prices were back to normal.
If I want to buy at 40% off price, do I have to wait until next year's Black Friday?

Post

I got an email about a Christmas sale yesterday, so check now.

Post

Thank you very much!!!

Post

So when is this Christmas sale and what are the sale prices?

Post

Am I missing something or is there only a single global effect slot and a single layer effect slot?

Post

Apart ftom the insert effect slot there are additional effect types available in the menu for the filter types (2 per voice) and distortion types (2 per voice): ringmod, aliaser, phaser, degrader, waveshapers etc.
This makes up to 5 effects per layer.
You can modulate them with audio rate with any modulation source. Additional destructive effects are accessible in the sample menu.

So you can get up to 22 effects per patch simuntaniously (4 x5 + Eq +master).

64 different effect types are available.

There is a free demo version available on the website.

So, can I make a one-layer pad that uses chorus, phaser, delay, reverb and equalizer, like on Sylenth1 for instance?

Is Electra the second most analog/subtractive type synth you have, after Saurus?

Post

There are a tons of things that you can do in electra that you can't do in sylenth.

The most analog product is Saurus. Electra also works well for analog style sounds. The most powerful one is the upcoming Icarus3.

I think there is a bug in it: use a monophonic patch and glide. Play a note with the left hand and keep it pressed while you play various notes with the right hand. The new notes get hacked off.

Sorry: I did refer to the wrong product in my previous answer.
No. It's a unique feature. Icarus comes with a special glide mode that is only available in Tone2 products. It is called 'modern' legato and suitable for modern music. You can switch to 'classic legato' or 'classic glide' in settings.
Details are in the manual.
Correct answer:
You must go to settings and switch from 'Polyphonic 1' to 'Monophonic' or 'legato'.
The mode 'Polyphonic 1' is mainly intended for (base)drum sounds. It cuts of a note as some as another one is played. You can find more details in the manual.

I WAS using Legato. Sorry, it sounds wrong to me...

Wanted to make an audio comparing it to another synth, but it said one cannot render with the demo version. And when that notice closed, Elektra was playing a hanging note and just would not shut up.

And opening a browser window to your shop when the demo session expires, is also a bit much.

Not a very pleasant experience so far, I must say...
