I think violence is very misunderstood. It is an inescapable part of our nature and I, for one, would rather it was out in the open and dealt with rather than repressed, Fred West style. I see no reason to deny your nature or attempt to change it. It is what it is.
many of them taht i know never seem to hold down a relationship, or have many real friends cos they won't let anyone actually get to know them.
And that is significant why? Because you want everyone to be just like you? Because you assume that everybody aspires to the same things you do? Do you think I should feel that there is something wrong with me because, in any given situation, I would prefer to be on my own than encumbered with others? Or because I see a place, or need even, for violence in our society? Or because I have little interest in feeling secure or safe?

It amazes me how strong the urge for you all to fit in and feel safe is. I have never understood it, certainly never felt it. As a kid/teenager I really didn't notice but as I got older it became clear that you're all quite fundamentally different and always have been. Clearly quincy, it has never occurred to you that we're not all the same, has it?

That's not called bieng different, that's called bieng sociopathic..But I'm not criticizing you because in this aspect, we have alot in common. I can easily say thousands of words a day here more than I do 'out there', & usually do. It's routine for me to tattoo someone for hours & say absolutely nothing to them. I don't 'try & fit in' here anymore than you do, & if you don't think for better or worse you aren't a part of the community here, you need to check your post count for a dose of reality.

If I embarassed you by gaving you thanks for showing concern when I was close to blowing my brains out last month I'll take your name off my list..But it doesn't change the fact that you showed empathy when you would have the world believe you don't possess any..

This is probably the single longest stretch I've spent amongst any peer group since my early 20's in Ft Lauderdale, & I'm kinda pleased that I overcame the nagging doubts that I didn't fit in here(or anywhere else for that matter), or maybe I just stopped giving a shit if I did or not; I find society here and I don't have a problem letting people know how I feel, whether it's communicating respect or giving the forum equivilant of a bitch-smack (new VSTi name..?.

Later,

nah, I think you're just a pair of freaks.

My time here at KvR is so much the better for having met you.
I didn't meet anybody I didn't like, and reading your posts has took on a new slant since I can now see your faces and hear your voices.
2004's certainly been the year of the KvR meet-ups and, imo, they've been 100% positive experiences. :D

Also, to all the people who I've only ever come across when they've replied to a question; thanks for sharing your knowledge. :D :D

I  you all.
And, just for the benefit of A.N.Other, I'm straight and have 2 kids. :hihi:

I'm fairly new here. I'd do a list but I don't know anyone yet.

So, thanks to Ben, who I understand created this whole KvR thing (I don't know him).

Thanks to bluedad, who reviewed a track of mine once (I don't know him either).

Thanks to spaceman, bunnyboy, quincy and vurt, who've made me laugh recently (nope, I don't know them either).

Thanks to t-willy, who laughed at one of my jokes recently (you got it, I don't know him either).

Thanks to anyone I've missed. I only missed you 'cos I don't know you.

:D
