i scanned my vst3 dll with virus total, no findings
scan it here https://www.filescan.io/scan :?
thanks will do later! i didnt know the page yet but sometimes im wondering how reliable these pages are. i scanned on virus total also files like windows drivers etc. and also got sometimes some flag, so wondering how trustful these are or if components in installers, dlls etc. use codes/elements which are already not clean.
i would write to baby audio directly, I wrote for example other companies and then something got fixed or changed on the AV companies that 1-2 weeks later the same installer wasnt flagged anymore (false positive).

i am also not really sure about those scanners, i scanned official installers out of curiosity and plenty of them came out flagged on both virustotal and filescan

That virus alert is a false positive. This sometimes happens with indie software and then gets resolved after we submit it for a second review. So just to clarify: There is of course not any virus/malware in our downloads, including Transit 2. Just make sure you always download directly from our site (babyaud.io/downloads) and you're good :)

As for your other question about how to always have the chain engaged: We actually have that option in there. Go to settings and enable "FX on at 0%". This will make Transit act with the minimum macro level at 0.1% so that effects are always engaged even if you turn the macro all the way down.

i thought that also, it is interesting, this site is flagging every Dawesome and U-he product also, the usual flag is keylogger, i wonder if the protection system is the reason for those flags, serials and Challenge response protections

i also scanned Lunacy Beam, Cube = some flags 1-2, also Vocaloid vst, Tone2 was also flagged and many more. it is mostly the same 2-4 vendors with some flags. i think it would be concerning if some more known vendors flag a file suddenly at the same time like e.g. you scan a file and suddenly Kaspersky, Avira, Avast flag it.

no, i saw a video of a guy who made a virus and only two vendors flagged the file on virus total

good to know, thanks!
well i hope that companies's installers/DLLs are checked before, I wait mostly few days before installing new releases and mostly there are some reports before then if anything urgent is coming up.

Just echoing Baby Audio's response here: These are false positives if you're seeing those results from any of our direct downloads (https://lunacy.audio/downloads). None of our installers have viruses or malware, and we submit any false positives for review. Please be sure you're always downloading products directly from us or one of our trusted resellers like PluginBoutique 😊

people still use anti virus programs? :D

do you think that the copy protection is triggering the flags? because you have to write a serial or challenge response, some plugins are home calling to check the activation, maybe that is triggering the flags

It's a good thought! To be honest, most of those Windows malware detectors are famously bad about false positives, so it could be any number of triggers, including calls to our server. We are currently looking into codesigning for our Windows installers, which we have for all our Mac installers, but it also doesn't always help with false positives. We appreciate the feedback though and we'll keep an eye on these flags.
