One Synth Challenge #175: 2RuleSynth (NeuKatalYst wins!)

Congratulation all,
I am the developer of 2RuleSynth. I read all the posts, and took notes about your difficulties that you have faced. Frankly, I never thought that this synth could produce such different sounds. thank you for your creativity, and thanks bjporter for the choosing 2Rulesynth for the competition.

I pretty much agree with all that has been said about 2ruleSynth, (if you allow me, I'd even add that modulation fx should be stereo imo and with a width control, and that I would have loved to be able to use several distortions in serial and I wished the delay had a ping pong option too...)
That said I got some sounds I really loved with 2rulesynth and I found a great value of sync / am / fm combined like that. Found the reverb very inspiring too. Ultimately I would never have come to my track without this synth, so thank you so much for making it!

Last place. Damn it hurts. Will try to focus on the feedbacks since they were quite positive overall and pointed towards some concrete improvments. Hope I can regain some confidence soon enough.

Congrats to the winners. Was very happy for NeuKatalyst as I saw his song meant sthing special.

My best guess at how this song could be changed to make it place higher:

The bass instrument and sounds should be louder.
The mid range instruments should be quieter or less piercing.
The frantic constant arpeggios could be a shorter sound or more distant somehow.
The song is almost entirely mono (as opposed to stereo) - so making some sounds more spacious would be good. Or the arpeggios could auto pan around.

You could consider some sort of drum or percussion track. Songs don't need them to place highly - but if you already sound amatuer, not adding a drum track can sound like you don't know how to - rather than a creative decision.

Remember I'm no expert and you should only consider these items if you care about your placement. I like strange music that doesn't follow the rules. The breathy sound you did is awesome

There is another plugin that I implemeted names TugMultiEffect. All the feature that you mentioned are there. I intented to put all the feature to 2RuleSynth but then I gave up. Just because such a plugin already exists. But of course it is necessary to have such features for the presets. It would be a better idea to put it in 2RuleSynth since it would be more useful.
