the uvi web page is extremely slow (since months - sometimes faster but mostly super slow)
the ne flacon page takes over 3 minutes to load with most images missing
that's on a 250 Mbit connection here...

It’s a really nice update. Is there a chance to see which presets are new?
rev2 is not named by release anymore

Here's what you should have (someone correct me if I'm wrong)

FALCON FACTORY
This has everything in it up to 2.8

FALCON FACTORY rev 2
This - somewhat confusingly given the name - ONLY has 3.0 presets
That's how I see it too :tu:

Maybe Olivier can enlighten us on that?

Wow... You people seem to be experiencing SERIOUS problems with your Internet connections. :-o

I never had such problems here.

This isn't my experience (I go regularly).
Where are you located?

It is in mine, Falcon Factory rev2 is just above Falcon Factory in the browser on the right.
Check in the folder where you keep your falcon libraries, there should be a Falcon Factory rev2.ufs.
Mac mini m4 pro, Reaper, too many plugins, Modal Argon8, Novation Circuit Mono Station and now a lovely Waldorf Blofeld.

fmr wrote: Fri Oct 20, 2023 10:29 am Did you download the rev2 library? You HAVE to do that in order to get the new presets.
But the new presets as opposed to the reworked old ones are not tagged in the new rev2 library. I can’t see any way to identify or search for them.

I actually deleted the old .ufs when the Portal wouldn't let me update to 3.0, but you can download it again from the UVI website (not the Portal).
This is Weird! By “0NLY has 3.0 presets” do you mean the “dozens of all new sounds” or all the old presets that have been reengineered with the new macros and UIs. The rev2 library the portal installed for me has all the old presets from original library with the version tags (1.4, 2.8 etc) removed and some new folders ( eg Ambient). I have the old library still installed.
Are there multiple versions of the rev2 library?

I double checked, and you seem to be right. The old presets (at least judging for the names) are there too in rev2 Library. HOWEVER, there are more sections in the old library, which means that, IF the presets are still there in rev2, then they were retagged, and included in other folders.

For example, the old library had a section named Animated, which is absent in rev2. Also, other specific categories, like Pure Additive 2.0, Rain Sequence 2.5 and RetroWave 2.5 are also absent. I already located some of the presets, but not others.

I will keep the old library, just in case, but I think you're right in that everything is in rev 2, and we have no way to determine which presets are new until we open them and see they use some of the new features.

I am not sure if this was the intention of UVI. But I moved the old factory library and some presets don't work anymore. They only work if the old library is seen by Falcon. So I have both ufs files in UVIsoundbank folder.

The rev2 library is named differently. Can I delete the old library and will songs using presets of the old library still load normally, only having rev2 installed?

Thanks! That solved my problem. The portal got in a weird stuck mode and didn't want to download.

No, based on what is written above your post. And I had similar problems with XtremeFX, which forced me to have both XtremeFX and XtremeFX 1.5 installed. It seems Falcon addresses presets BY LIBRARY, which means you would have to open all your projects, replace the old presets by the new ones, and resave the projects. Only then could you safely delete the old library. Until proven otherwise
