Yes "pre listen". (Well actually such ability in near each similar sample based instrument, in most of drum modules too).

No, you have to currently trigger the plugin with MIDI
Then solo the layer you want to hear

well sonic academy lost me this time, the prices are ridiculous. good for the others, i will check out kick ninja etc. just disrespectful prices for new and current customers in my opinion. hope more will see it that way.

If they're not going to have their usual 40% off Black Friday sale because it's new then I won't even bother demoing it yet, especially since they say they're going to add more features... but I guess they won't tell us whether they will or not? If they wait until the 25th to tell us I probably won't have time to do a proper demo vs Kick Ninja, Audija, Kickshaper+Fuser, and various synths, in which case I won't buy it....

i have to check the other plugins, but afaik post updates arent a strenght of sonic academy? Audija for example seems very supportive and responsive. so yeah.

Regards upgrade pricem hmm idk it seemed to me still in normal range: 27.5 GBP (with -2.5 GBP after used rewards points, inside SA acc). Plug actually seems cool, why not.

yeah and always great to see someone official active before release and then silent , maybe they had more backlash and less sales than expected, i wrote it already a few times, the plugin itself is too expensive and the upgrade price was before a punch in the face already.

i am glad i dint upgrade, i will check the other kick plugins first who are more active and less expensive!

At release, just a month ago, I payed 37 euros for the Kick 3 upgrade, now it's 25. Not cool. It's not about the 12 euro difference. It's about respecting the early adopters/customers.

You pay more to be the first to get it.

But if they didn't want some backlash they could have warned us that there would in fact be a Black Friday sale.

That said, I appreciate that they started the sale earlier this year relative to Black Friday itself (which starts a week later this year). Should be enough time for me to demo it vs competitors and what I already have, hopefully.

Did anyone manage to get the freebie comp? You get this huge banner in the cart with the 'click here for more info' but when you click it there is no info. I have no idea how you're supposed to claim this.

I got it automatically with the purchase. I was confused also since the banner linked to something that made me wonder if I needed a code, but it turned out that wasn't the case.

Just picked up the upgrade and didn't realise I had 800 shop points . Got it for £12.00 !! Got the freebie no problem. Not often I buy at the right time!
