She's been taking an old song last month allready. Apparently the way to success (in case winning a KVR contest equals success).AndreasE wrote: Absolutely right. It seems she was absessed being the first one to enter her track this month. Therefore she took an old song.

My entry was the second one. Am I naughty
I did write it for the contest, it just so happened that I had a nice block of time that Saturday arvo, that I probably wasn't going to get for a few weeks again, so I made the most of it.
Anyways, thanks to all the peoples that have been listening and writing reviews. It's a great way to improve, by getting this kind of feedback! I'm looking forward to tuning into the webradio and having a listen to all the other entries.

ahhhhhhhh; here's a challenge;
Only just now read the theme and I like it. Last month I hardly had time to even think about the contest, but I think I can cook something up here

It really sounds like algorithmic music?
Btw., the long solo in the 2nd half of the track is peti harmonium.

Sometimes you can have huge world successes doing that: Modern Talking changed only one of the three chords from one "song" to the other over many years. So, basically it was always the same old song ...Sascha Franck wrote:She's been taking an old song last month allready. Apparently the way to success ...AndreasE wrote: Absolutely right. I had suspicions myself last month and even more this month. From what I can tell, "Jump and Wind" was put together and posted about an hour after the thread opened. I know I'd be rushed just editing down, mixing and mastering a pre-existing song, but a production like that from scratch?... I have no problem with someone entering their own prefab music in a competition - with one caveat: that song is solely intended for this competition only. Not something already slated for release or another site that's just alternately mixed and posted here. That's hardly the spirit of the competition - though the rulez only say "your track SHOULD be [composed specifically for this contest]."AndreasE wrote:Sometimes you can have huge world successes doing that: Modern Talking changed only one of the three chords from one "song" to the other over many years. But let's not go the way of last month. This may be Gossip, but if it becomes restricted to sniping about the one person who already gets their share of limelight, I'm going to leave KvR... (for good this time)
So what's this MODERN TALKING thing? And why does the title of this month's theme end on a preposition? ...'music to dance to' what?

I am not to keen on fade outs and like Markleford said if there are 2 tracks I like equally I would always vote for the track without.
Fade ins unless done in a creative way are even worse. When it is done to fit a previously made track into 2 minutes it just about blows any chance of me voting for it.

I don't think LadyJ wanted to enter the contest for real. The snippet of an old song was uploaded to make sure this gossip thread would be about LadyJ. All PR is good PR.
Even this post is about her. Damn.
