Ok, I fold. I don't know anything about Mirko's history, but in case he hasn't been coding before, I don't think he have learned coding FX modules in the last half year. This is why I'm leaning more to that he has been co-developing the plugin by designing the FX's, and how they should function/being laid out, and not by coding.

Maybe the "competition thing" only exists in people's heads here.Soundplex wrote: He did code some things in Avenger too afaik (e.g. the mini game I think). Don't know how to feel about him. Throws bad light onto the whole pseudo competition thing going on, if both companies aren't that distinct in reality.
I was under the impression too though, that Mirko didn't code, but helped with the architecture, and as resident sound designer.

I don't think so. I'm in this thread since the beginning and there were shots fired from the dev (I'm totally fine with that btw, was funny too)chk071 wrote:Maybe the "competition thing" only exists in people's heads here.

I can confirm a few new additional features. They were directly requested by users.

- Realtime preview of oscillator inserts. PM, RM, Bend and so on are directly visualized.
- Each oscillator has a Skip to Mix button. When active, filter and insert processing are skiped.
- Stereo pan for each mixer channel.
- On the Master page, a new Mix Modifier, for voice, reverb and delay mix. A quick way to turn down these FX for all layers.
- Free -48/+48 Pitch modifier.
- Modwheel and Pitchwheel on master page, beside the layer keyranges.
- Key-Ranges now allow a size of 1 key.

I'm a bit lost
In the last few weeks there were several posts about the coming updates, each of them promicing different things, from alternative GUIs to new osc inserts. Now this, some different things again.
Don't get me wrong I love Rapid for what it is and I'm fine with all the cool features it already has, but this is a bit confusing.

The occasional posts state new features, additional to the already mentioned ones. They will be crammed into one big update. GUI, inserts, filters, functions etc, everything will be included.parawave wrote:I can confirm a few new additional features.
I thought regulary status updates would soothe a few users, you know, the ones thinking we are doing nothing. Seems to produces the opposite. @zeph over here is quite infuriated .. patience.. :)

Thanks for making things clear! Maybe i just misunderstood your earlier messages.
Anyway, the update is definitely going to be awesome, looking forward. No matter how long it will take, i prefer rate but solid updates over frequent halfbacked ones.
Not that Rapid actually needs any updates to be one of the best synths on the market

As I have understood from the developer earlier, all future updates will be free, but don't take my word for it 100%. This would makes sense though since the plugin is not re-sellable.deejay2 wrote:future updates free once there is V2 for example?

Deprecation of OpenGL and OpenCL
Apps built using OpenGL and OpenCL will continue to run in macOS 10.14, but these legacy technologies are deprecated in macOS 10.14. Games and graphics-intensive apps that use OpenGL should now adopt Metal.

It should be ready in about a week. Please bare with us, a few days longer or sooner don't matter. It keeps improving, and that's the important thing, right?
