Can not speak for GaryG, but in Reaper 6.20 zooming to 100, 125 & 150 all work correct for me (Win7-64).baconpaul wrote: Sun Jan 24, 2021 10:23 pm If you set Royal to 150, do you et 100, 125, or 150?
Thanks!

Ah, If I set it to 150 or 200 then the GUI blows up bigger than my laptop screen then goes back to 100 when I move the window. Could Reaper be making adjustments based on my screen res (though 125 would fit)? I'll plug into a monitor later and test again. Thanks.

Is your OS scaling set up to something other than 100%?

No, I checked, 100%.
I guess this may be a fairly uncommon usage, on an aging non-hd laptop, so I don't want you wasting time on this email uneccessarily, I'm more than happy using a different skin. Thanks.

No, I am also on a non-HiDPI display (24", 1920x1200) and it doesn't happen over here...
By the way, can you screenshot the Preferences->Plug-ins page of Reaper's preferences and post it here?

Wow this new skin makes me want to use Surge for the first time! I tried it in the past but GUI was uninspiring. Now it's totally different story.

I have noticed Surge got OB-Xd filters implemented with SSE optimizations which is great, however they seem to sound slightly different (especially the 12dB one). Already PMed Paul on this regard.
Anyone else can confirm? The example below is a filter sweep using 12dB / 24db LP filters and max resonance. First is Surge and second OB-Xd.
12dB: https://www.discodsp.net/temp/Surge%20vs%20OB-Xd.wav
24dB: https://www.discodsp.net/temp/Surge%20v ... 2024dB.wav

Might be consequence of 2x oversampling up/downsample filter that is in there by default in Surge. If so, not much we can do about that, I don't think. Besides, a bit of variety doesn't hurt, I suppose. Another thing that might correlate is the pre-filter gain slider in the mixer, since oscillator section is quite different than the one in OB-Xd, it might be hitting the filters differently, creating some subtle differences in resonance response.
AFAIK the OB-Xd code itself is as close as it gets with SSE - I mean there's comments in the code and all.

Thanks for the replies. Paul replied quickly and yes, they are different because there are internal changes. Both 24dB are very close by the way.

Oh also there's been a bit of gain compensation on the output of the filter because 12dB can get QUITE loud with high resonance, but this is just a gain change and doesn't affect filter behavior.
But looking at the code it seems pretty much on the dot.
EDIT: Ha, I looked closer, seems we're missing that gpw = tanf(...), line 110 in OB-Xd source code. Hummm so I guess damn!
EDIT #2: Actually no, we do that in our makeCoefficients() method at line 85 in Surge's Obxd.cpp.

You can certainly take the skin to many other places, so don't give up!
Knob class might take a bit longer to materialize (think end of this year).

We update KvR product page with every update, you can subscribe to that, I believe.
