P.S. The only daw I've ever actually seen written from scratch (relatively) quickly was Reaper. Watching that guy literally build the thing in front of you, almost in real time, in public.
Putting the overwhelming enthusiasm of the people following that early process aside, it still took a few years to get something really, really decent.

I wouldn't expect you to explain your self. I'm not your shrink.TheoM wrote:
Just as I have no idea why my posts bother you or your even wasting the time to say so when you could be being positive, having fun and making music.
I don't need to explain myself to you, so I won't. I was interested in bitwig, now I'm not. There's nothing wrong with the developers knowing why they lost a customer. That's what forums a for sometimes, opinions, whether good or bad. I think bitwig is a joke.
Your not the only one to express concerns about Bitwig, its just you are a bit....passionate.... about how you go about expressing it and this makes you stand out.
Out of curiosity, what is your DAW of choice?

nope.TheoM wrote:Well I will admit he got one part right, the epic part, as if there is one thing I am, it's totally epic. I presume that was the reason you were winking.elnn wrote:hehecrashedthecar wrote:Theo M you probably have no idea why others find your post after doms so annoying.

There's no need to get all hot and sweaty in here, difference in opinions can easily be resolved and morphed into a discussion in a completely civilised manner, without bashing and trying to rub oily crusty dicks on the software developer's face. You seem like a fine guy from what I've seen on other threads, but all this here is just not necessary. ESPECIALLY when we don't even have the solid information concerning the stuff that's going round the table here at the moment. OK, you were interested, now you're not, you were very clear about that, and that was enough - is it not what you would yourself say should a discussion go out of hand?
Cheers!

I have plenty respect for the forum and particularly for this thread. Take a look for yourself at the last few pages and ask yourself, at what point did this thread go from helpful sharing community to the mind numbingly stupid contrast of your posts.TheoM wrote:I have an idea, but my opinion is as valid as anyone's.crashedthecar wrote:Theo M you probably have no idea why others find your post after doms so annoying.

I had to look that one up as we don't use that here, but since personal abuse is against the rules of kvr, you are not welcome here. Please go away. Mod reported. Try to behave and respect the forum.

Of course Bitwig can do whatever they want on the order and timing they want and indeed they make make further changes for 1.0 (spurred on by user feedback perhapsThomasHelzle wrote: - I think I said it already: Plugins were not the main focus so far as I understand it, so the focus may look overly centred on the internal instruments, but it makes sense IMO: over the years of development, so much can change in the world of Plugins, that you would chase all the time after the latest development and updates instead of concentrating on a solid basis and the area you control yourself.
Cheers,
Tom
I'm not mad at Bitwig... just letting them know what is important to this user.
