zedd wrote:you picked the ONLY groove pack that doesn't have Loop Slices, so it is has more limited use than other groove packs. :-(
Well... crap :)
zedd wrote:I think some of the Rock, Jazz and Tron loops are absolutely awesome. They have a character you don't find in any of the other packs.
Yes, it definitely has character and numerous useful loops which ooze that elusive retro quality. So yeah, I think it does live up to its name. My initial reaction was based on the surprise of bumping into the not-so-seventies material from the get go.

Downloading the Squids Tron Extras pack as I type this... :) Is the esoundz "Wild Card bonus library" around already, by the way?

never mind, i found the difference

I think that *IS* your Wild Card Bonus Library from eSoundz, although Squids mentioned that he also has another surprise in store for those that ordered through eSoundz.

There is also a 1GB library for everybody who joined which should be in your IK user area.

What difference?? I want to know too...
androidlove wrote:we're moving with insane speed now. i think i'm going to chose the ob over the vintage set. ss2 looks to have the same vintage content for the most part. ss2 has a huge amount of ob, but this multi sample set is going to save me a lot of trouble (detuning by zone) and sounds like it has new wave forms
Is there really a lot of OB overlap with SS2? I noticed a few overlaps... but "a huge amount"?? Are they the same instruments but with different patch names?

Ok,thanks zedd. I might pick the sample ob over vocal. I wish there were more sounds in the sample ob.It sounds cool from what I heard in the demo.

Ok. I must be getting dizzy over this barrage of new sounds. (Case in point: it's 5:30 AM over here and I'm still playing through these packs. Have to grab a tiny bit of sleep before getting up again... -> :-o Going to sleep NOW)

Ok IK , I now have a problem, I load Sampletank , and it's harder to see all the new sounds I have  can I request a larger GUI to see all of my sounds too please.

Seriously what types of organization are you guys/gals using to get around in the browser?

screen shots of the best looking Sampletank interfaces. Saw someone with a blue Gui, had you do that>?

Post

Nevermind,I figured out the color , turned - col - to about 3oclock
turned lum to about 1 oclock, sat to about 5 oclock, much better 8)

I'm hoping for a larger GUI in ST3 if it ever comes out. I hope the patch selection is taller than it is wider.

The color changing knobs are the tiny knobs on the right hand side of the screen.. they're really small.. one does color.. one does brightness.. one fades in and out.. ec..

btw are you Bobby Blue Bland??

By the way, the Retro Seventies loop title came from two previous collections combined - the Groove Capsule and the Retro Grooves library. It was originally called "Retro Modern Grooves" and then for some reason we changed it but yes there are a lot of 70's sounds and also 80's and general stuff in there too... at least there IS enough retro 70's grooves in there to be worth the 1 of 6 for $50 and even more. No slices on that though but fun menu maps for grooves (not just construction kits but drum and percussion grooves... so that one is unique in the series... I like that one a lot).

These sounds span YEARS and YEARS of development. Some sounds are better than others but the value at this point is through the roof... and I happen to know something that could possibly happen depending on how quickly you reach 5,000. If by chance you reach it by tomorrow... well I think you're going to be in for one SERIOUS surprise that beats all Squids surprises.

Oh and the wild card was half way in the middle of evolving into something else which was this huge selection of titles instead as a bonus. It was originally just going to be ONE collection with a selection from those extras but then so many people asked for R.A.W. (Rex, Apple Loops or Wave) versions and other things we went from it being one library to this... there are still some leftover sounds that were going to be in that wild card library though that aren't in these... I am inclined to give ALL SampleTank customers on www.esoundz.com (even ones that didn't join this group buy) some new FREE SampleTank sounds after this is over... so really all one has to do is JOIN www.esoundz.com to get them when we have them. Those will include some of the extra sounds we had also planned for this. Since there are close to 5,000 or more that will now have SampleTank - and it is expandable - we might as well show you what ELSE is coming...

.... ahhhhh so what ELSE is coming? Some cool stuff. We're planning on releasing something new and interesting for SampleTank each month through the end of the year for one thing. That should be cool! You can use epointz on them as well if you've managed to rack some up.

Perhaps someone who has the "SampleTank Rare Vintage Collection Vol. 1" or the "Sonic Reality Bonus Disc for Sampletank 2.5" can post a sounds list.
And here is the folder list for the Sonic Reality Bonus Disc:
  • • Bonus Beats > (about 140 Loop Slice grooves)
    • --SR Reggaeton Beats
      --SR Rock Grooves
      --SR Soul Grooves
      --SR Vint Beatbox
    • Bonus World Instruments > 9 instruments
    • From Omni (which contains about 28 instruments from Omnisynth 1)
    • From Studiophonik OT > Big Room Kits > Ludwig (1 kit)
    • Orchestra MV > 1 orchestra patch
    • SR Bonus Disc Combis > 24 Combis

Ahhhh... there you go. Now you have an even more important reason to join in pbognar!! :-)
I should really do a better job of proof-reading what I type...

mmmm... that 6GB content with XL. Those saxes... Maybe this IS the way in.

If we're going to get to 5000 in the next day (Squids said tomorrow), then we'd better do some thread bumping!

Let this be incentive for all those of you who are considering joining this again. Don't wait until the last day. Do it now so that we have a greater chance of more surprises.

Peter said that the majority of joinees are NOT people who joined 2 or 3 times. That means that there are a whole bunch of people who could potentially join again. Well why don't you?

What's stopping you!?! Don't sit back and do nothing! :uhuhuh:

Hey Squids, any luck with patch lists for the bonus content? I'm sure you've got other things going on, so no pressure but I'm dying to see a patch list for the Tron Extras... :) It's either that or one of the RAW packs... would love to join twice, but that's probably not in the cards (at this point). Thanks for everything so far!
