thanks, now the velocity in chord preview work ok and all chords that have transpose 0 sound in phrase and chord preview with use selected phrase same.

best sound mostly "minimize note distance from previous phrase". this does not correct sound on chord preview or if a transpose is used. I think when the chord preview have a transpose slider that allow to modify and load the transpose value of selected phrase before, let work it in all situations. and if change transpose in chord preview change transpose in phrase too.

i tried dragging rhythms with the key combos to see if all selected phrases get highlighted ..
but i didn't drop the rhythm! (of course) ..

Mouse wheel works good zooming (+ctrl) or scrolling vertically, but it needs horizontal timeline zoom(+ctrl) and scroll when the mouse pointer is over the timeline without having to ctrl drag or drag the bottom slider.

wouldn't be more logical if
"Render Phrase With Variations And Voicing"
also will apply/render Lock To Scale (if active) and switch it to Off after render?
sorry if i miss something obvious...

as an extra note:
i tried converting to absolute form first
but seems Lock To Scale ignored also while converting to absolute form.

Sorry but I haven't deleted any phrases in the RC Phrase Browser in a while and have forgotten how to delete custom user phrases. ??????

EDIT: The right click Edit Insert Remove is now showing in the Phrase Browser after a restart !
Also have I got copy paste disabled somewhere , the older versions are working ok.
Also I'm not getting the wand option on the latest version (Left) but get it on the older version (right) EDIT: fixed with download 3.5b2, I had the pre release 3.5b2, but copy paste still not working.

Do you mean right clicking did not work first? That is weird.

I have tested copy-paste but I have not found any issues.
I found a strange bug when copying the selected timeline region but that will be fixed today.

The wand option works only for phrase generators. When you edit a phrase generator, it becomes a normal phrase, even if it called "Chord Generator v1".

RapidComposer Beta v3.5b3 is available!

Improvements:

Mouse wheel works for horizontal timeline zoom (+Ctrl) and scrolling
Finding closest match for chords when changing scales was fully reworked and works well with any chords. This means for example that you can listen to your composition in a minor scale even if it was created in a major scale.
"Find Closest Match For Chords On The New Scale" added in scale selector
"Find Closest Match For Chords On The New Scale" is used instead of "Harmonize Chords to Match New Scale"
Chord Rules can be assigned anywhere not just globally to the composition
Master track inspector UI cleanup
Fixed a bug when copying the timeline selection
Fix for a crashing bug when too many chord boxes were created in a line

Heaven ! zoom scroll ! locked notes option !

Must have some wrong setting in 3.5b3 as it still won't copy paste as it does in 3.4b2 in pic below. I can also copy and paste from one old version to another, but I can't copy from or to 3.5b3. 3.4b8 is the same.

Tried it on the other PC and the same thing, I found 3.4b7 on this PC and it works, so from 3.4b8 up it stopped copy paste. I hope it's just not me with this fault on both machines ??? I'll go try it on the Mac now.

3.5b3 is copying and pasting on Mac ok.

Hi crossovercable,
good news, finally! I checked all changes between v3.4b7 and v3.4b8 and I have found and fixed this bug.
It was a file open error. The workaround is not enabling 'Allow copy/paste between two RapidComposer applications' in the settings. It is really not needed unless you have 2 RC windows open, because every copy operation will create a file. So please disable that in the settings.

Yes the wand editor for generators won't work as they are changed V1 V2 etc.. this got me as I had to add another C note in Csus2 as RealGuitar reads it as a GSus4 then change the note length from a 1/4 to a Bar, but that is MusicLab's problem as it's a standard sus2 and it reads every other RC chord.

I found the Custom Phrase Editor on right click in the Phrases Browser gets hidden when I have windows always on top and browsers in separate windows ticked in settings.

It is so easy now with zoom/scroll

. It would be good to have the timeline zoom in the editor as well.
In the editor when you have a long phrase like 16 bars it is sluggish zooming and scrolling, the slider bar at the bottom will resize but there is a lot of lag in the phrase.

I'm looking forward to the controllers in the phrases, as I have so much midi I want to convert to RC phrases but a lot have pitch bends, I was going to convert them to keyswitches but that is turning out to be a major project, whereas the controller phrases would be heaven !! but maybe a major project for you
