+1! :tu:
+1 too! :tu:
Strangely, VPS Avenger isn't referenced in KVR (main site).

I got it and learnet it all!

A couple features that i think avenger defently could have.
Avenger has legato but missing mono midi that retriggers the envelope. Legato is mono but it doesnt retrigger envelopes. Mod enveolope sure can be set up on midi last, but not the default on filter or amp enveolope.

Also a great feature to add would be midi channel for each oscillator, by default should be all, but an small option to change osc to specific midi channels or even for the drums. Would be super helpful for those that love to program inside the daw and not play for liveperformance.

about the eq! When pressing open it gets displayed full size, would be awesome to be able to see fft spectrum in it, also be able to see the other oscillators in same spectrum. but only when pressing open, and we should be able to turn on and off depending on cpu.

minichain should also have the possibilty to use an outside midi note as sidechain pattern, using the built in bd as sidechain is to limited in how many steps it can have.

Another feature i would love is having abcd pattern feature like arp sequencer that could be automated.

this feature: i want is possible to store fx chains as preset and toggle between different fx chains.

i know it allready has so much but to me it seems that adding these stuff is not to much.

Anyway supergreat work so far, love the synth.

this is possible, just set the polyphony to 1/1. Avenger is true monophone now

Avenger was added to the KVR plugins database now:

Ah forgot about that. Still, it's an interesting coincidence that this API has two methods with the same name CocoaOpenGLView::doDraw() and CocoaOpenGLView::swapBuffers()

I presume that's because they are both accessing the same OS-X graphics functions.

Here is a video with an Avenger patch using 4 different harmonic plastic tube samples in oscillators 1-4 with FM modulation which can be dialed in with Macro 1 and a drone in OSC5 derived from one of the samples via wavetable re-synthesis. Macro automation and modwheel action, made in LogicX.
Avenger -> soundscape machine.

Very nice Simon. Were these all samples you created yourself?

Thanks - yes, samples I made a while ago for something else, I love those tubes and have a large collection here.

I already noticed this yesterday, root note detection fails when importing samples like this:
I put 4 samples in 4 folders so that I can import each single sample as a multi-sample into Avenger, the root note is a semitone off, although the samples are labeled according to the Avenger import format (e.g. “Name_g#3.wav).

Sounds plasticy...

Just kidding. Beautiful. Looking forward to your unevitable sound pack.

And when trying to stack those 4 samples in the stacker, they don't appears, so I have e.g. “Harmonic Tube 01“ as the main sample, then I try to add “Harmonic Tube 2“ in the stacker, but it doesn't even appear in the list, all this is very strange and not logical.

I said so before, plasticy is the new analog, so thanks :)

will you add the drone preset to a pack?`would love to use such a preset and play around with it cause i wanna use Avenger for some nice drone sounds.

Eventually there will be a library with all the things you see and hear in this thread.
