I made a summary of important posts thread to answer a lot of common questions and/or have updates from me that would otherwise get lost in the main thread so for consolidated info: http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic ... 86#3917086
Quick answers to questions:
Instead of EZ Player Pro you can pick a Multitrack Kit from Drum Masters (out of 4 different ones done at Nick D'Virgilio or John Blackwell sessions).
------
The extra bonus for hitting 600 is TWO extra STm kits: JB Tama kit and the Chicago Gretsch kit which is kind of a roots rock/blues kit. The JB Tama kit is the stick version of the already included Brush kit so that's a nice one to have.
------
The reason the counter went down and then up is because cards were run and some declined and also some accidentally ordered more than once. We were running cards until the wee hours of the night. But the final number at Texas Midnight (sounds like a movie) was 604 just to know. Also, apparently it was set to Central Time because that is where our servers are, not Eastern Time (where SR is) so there was an extra hour and of course a lot of last minute joiners.
Yes, patience is definitely required for this so please understand that 604 people all wanting to download something this large is a lot! It's 3 times larger than we were expecting in terms of numbers and New Years is apparently a high traffic time for our servers according to them (although we warned them in advance). We've divided the content into 3 phases of delivery but decided to let everyone in the GB have access to each of those at once - or at least phase one to see how it goes. A message will be sent later this morning to all Group Buy members with details and in that will be a suggestion to wait for lower traffic times even to download phase 1... only the extremely anxious and antsy should download later today as opposed to ANY time after because it DOES stay in your download area so there's no time limit or pressure to get it done right away. Even the phases are just more things added to your download area.
The redeem code will show in your esoundz download area but can only be used on DownloadableSoundz.com - you should click the check box in the member's area of esoundz.com to link your account to DownloadableSoundz.com so you can use your same login and password when you redeem the code on this page: http://www.downloadablesoundz.com/redeem.php But this will be explained in the email.
Thanks again for being a part of this. As I said, these new features are going to be the system we work with in Kontakt so once you learn it then you can apply that to anything else we put out drum-wise - be it EpiK DrumS, Neil Peart... all using the same scripts more or less and interchangeable with kits from this bundle. I am sure there will be a lot of questions and that's one of the main reasons I'm around.
I wouldn't expect Phase 2 to be delivered until the dust settles from Phase 1 so that will probably be Monday.

Young Frankenstein and The Princess Bride would be my two quotable movies. Although, there are some great lines in the Hangover. I wouldn't expect anything for the next 5 hours as we're doing it all manually so... it will take a bit. Also I wanted to do it so each kit had its own download - as clear as possible so everything is being arranged as best we can. There are a few things like the updated "info" file that has the new OWD Gui that have to be installed as well... to make a custom bundle like this there are a lot of parts. But we're setting the Infinite Library Installers so you can just DRAG and DROP onto it and point it to the Infinite Player folder and BAM it's in there... as long as you're sure the download was complete and you've compared the size of the zip you downloaded to the size of the zip on the place you downloaded from (a common error). More specifics coming around noon Florida time if that helps anyone from checking and checking right now. Hang in there! I think we have a good solution with the phases of delivery but even the first phase is a 13 kit MONSTER 10 gigabyte OWD product itself! Nothing lite about that!Milt wrote:I just checked my download page a esoundz, nothing there yet. Give a shout if you have got yours, makes waiting a little easier! HA!

Btw welcome Redhawk! Good to have you on board.
So many new people on this one. I should tell you that we DO have a Sonic Reality/eSoundz forum right here on KVR where we have been for... about 9 years now? We were one of the first official company forums on KVR actually (the second one in fact). Here it is:http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=9
You'll see some familiar names. Darkstar is one of the mods and many of the people here hang out there to help each other out, ask and answer questions... a friendly place. More Squidstories if you're into that sort of thing. Haha. I don't want to tire anyone out though. "Enough with this guy who calls himself a plural sea creature!"
I remember the first year I was on KVR as "Squids" and there was all this action at that time. Then when I went to NAMM Eric Persing from Spectrasonics came up to me and said "Hey Squids!!!!!". So I didn't realize how many knew about my quirky rants on KVR. It was funny - maybe even embarrassing.
Anyway if you've wondered how I spew so many words on here... I've had YEARS of practice at it (which is great as a writer) and I type almost as fast as finger drumming which is one of my favorite things to do... I get lost in both. Better than watching TV!
Thanks for the kind words guys. Both myself and everyone at SR and esoundz really appreciate the good vibes. I'm very proud of the relationship we have with the people that use our soundware. Very modern and down to Earth as opposed to the usual distant and faceless corporate thing with other companies in other industries. KVR is a great place to be in contact with the developers themselves so you can get it right from the horse's mouth... or the Squids' beak.

thanks to you guys
this has really been fun to be a part of
i find it no coincidence that my 2 favourite software companies share similar traits regarding customer connection have both recently down well above expectations regarding group buys....camel audio and yourselves are both deserved of the attention and the expanded user base from these group efforts.....you both are leading the way in terms of a great all-round software and user experience ( he says before even d'loading)
though the bonuses have stopped racking up i will continue to do my bit on this thread to help bring your company deserved 'coin' for the next 2 weeks......a bigger user base is good for everyone

I know there is some concern over everyone downloading at once but I am not in any particular rush. How long will the downloads be available. Can I wait a week or two? I shouldn't think it a problem but just checking.
