another (longer) sloppy sample made e-drumming on kit2
http://www.pluggotic.com/files/provagw2.mp3
...and midi file of the same moment
http://www.pluggotic.com/files/gscwmidiforkit2.mid
(though the file is at 120, bpm was not considered during recording)
there are brown spots somewhere...
anyway cool kit. and the Reason version is 99% ready.

Thanks for the kit Salvador. I love it. My vote for your new undertaking would be 24 Bit 44k. I'm sure the platinum will be great.GIRO wrote:HEY! no one replies to me!..![]()
I posted a jpeg map for kit2
Enjoy guys!
It was a long month of sampling, editing , re sampling, mapping, testing, etc...
Then, I had the entire summer looking for an OEM VST host to encode to.. for copy protection but they are way $$$.. and I would have to sell it for over $100.00 and about a GB of samples...
NOW!
I'm planning for the Platinum set and sell it with Paypal. .... working on it...
The Platinum set! Hot Rods, Sticks, Brushes, Mallets, 2 14'' Snare drums, new 16x18 kick drum and more cymbal performances... with a $70 Paypal donation
I'll get that DK+ or DR-008 and make patches..
I need a Drum Sampler that can handle at least 12 layers....
Lets do a vote for the format of choice...
How many layers!
16bit -24bit-32bit
48kh or 44kh
Etc....
Best Regards,
Toonyfish

thanks for this, waiting man, and for the midi-file
. Still I don't know why it's not possible to build a DS404kit or with Saschas battery-kit in Awave out of the soundfont here (doesn't load the halion-kit), and why the one made for EnergyXT sounds the same like the resulting DS404-sampler-kit: like bleeps, not drums... Strange.
anyway, looking at the halion-map of Salvador and making an own EnergyXT-sampler-kit should be possible, I hope. Don't remember the name of the man who made the XT-kit, but maybe you could tell us others about some problems you had, or if it sounds right on your machine? Others got only bleeps.
Cheers again to Salvador!

DS404 saves the kit in every song file you make. It really is a shame as what the f**k would you need a copy of the kit saved every fuckin time.
Most samplers refer to the files in there location .... Not DS404 ... It saves extra mega copies of the files to Jam yer hard drive up everytime you save a song. In this case with such big kits you can eat a Harddrive pretty fast. It's the one thing that made me toss my DS404. I have been known to save multiple copies of songs as i work ,.... I don't need / want Multiple Samples saved and resaved every time. I hate that about DS404. It is pointless!

Paul
EDIT ...That said.,..... I Love CM mag and all their stuff but I only wish the DS404 would save paths and not samples in the song. It would improve it 100%.

I would love to hear you play them with a backing track!
TO YOU GUYS:
Thanks for the kind words...
I want to take this time to give you a way out from all this sempler problemo!...
Get HALion and save your selfs from premature hair loss!
You have 3 options for HALion!.... you can get HALion 2. Which I'm sure you can find it on Ebay! ( NO S# needed)Original copy... $50 starting bid ( NO! I'm not the one selling
HALion Player: Which is like $99 and it come with lots of samples and it can play all HALion patches....
Or HALion 3.... way freaking better than Kontakt! Editing and mapping way better....

That's nice explanations, Salvador, and maybe some will listen to you. I decided for Kontakt2 though 2 weeks before you gave us your kit

thanx for the comments folks, I hope the midi file will be useful in any way.
just don't turn the thread in a sampler debate, please!
every info about what works where and how should be added, somewhere

As far as the eXT sampler file goes, I posted about this herein the Audioshots Auditorium. The eXT file was built by Rony at http://www.karamusicsite.com.Klemperer wrote:thanks for this, waiting man, and for the midi-file. As my post states, it appears to be improper mapping, as many (most?) of the samples were mapped with the root notes set a couple of octaves lower than the key notes. I haven't seen any response from Rony. It could be fixed by anyone who has eXT, I suppose.
I also found that loading this kit in the sampler, with its huge number of samples really slowed down the eXT graphics. Repositioning the windows in eXT was very sluggish.

thanks much for this information, SWTrex!
I loaded the kit yesterday into XT-sampler, but after some little problems in building a DS404kit and getting the Kontakt-kit right I didn'look further into it as I heard just the bleeps. Should indeed be possible to look at the root notes and do a kit sometimes.
And no sampler debate, promised, waiting man

As there seems to be some confusion, I'll try to list what the kits I converted are loading in.
First of: They are all made using the original samples, so you better use them instead any of the ones which could be extracted from the various other formats (SF2, whatever...).
EXS kits: Loading fine in the EXS (who would've guessed) when you follow my sample renaming instructions (required due to the 31 character limit of the EXS).
Also loading fine in Kontakt 1, but the exclusive groupings are lost, plus you'll have to set all zones to one shot, as this setting is lost as well. No need to do all that anyways, because...
Battery kits: Loading fine in both Battery 1 and 2. Loading fine in both Kontakt 1 + 2, even the exclusive groups and the one shot tags will stay intact.
DR-008 kits: Loading fine in DR-008. Who would've guessed...
Using the EXS kits (thus renaming the samples as well) might also make sense for CDxtract owners as it handles EXS files quite well (it still doesn't seem to accept HALion FXPs as an input format...).

First of all a big thanx to Salvador for his generosity. Thanx also to all KVRers doing those translations to other formats. And finally a small question: anyone tested the sfz format? I mean it's working but although I see an "one-shot" opcode in those files it seems like the samples are cut when you release the keys. Am I missing something here? (I am not an sfz expert)
If I go insane, please don't put your wires in my brain
