OMG that was a lot of controls!

There, all "done"! Now I just need to add some sound.
(And to answer the question that always follows these posts... It'll be ready.... SOON!!! But this probably means at least a week still, so don't even ask till then...

Introductory price, best GUESS at this point, is $59.95 USD. That's if you buy while it's in beta (with a 0.x version number. And that license will also extend into version 1.x, obviously.)Blackgate wrote:Price? $AdmiralQuality wrote:OMG that was a lot of controls!![]()

But by the time it settles down into version 1.x (I dunno, in 1 or 2 more months?), the price will become at least double the intro price.
Doing it this way to reward those who buy early. Consider yourselves "mini-investors" in getting this thing done.
(There'll be a week long free evaluation too. Just like SCAMP.)
Anyway, there you go, but all the above is subject to change at my slightest whim!

Holy CRAP that's a killer GUI!!
And I'm glad to see that'll fit just fine on my monitor in Cubase. I think I have a couple 100 more pixels on Kontakt's GUI than Poly-Ana. You let me know when you got a beta for sale.

Looking a lot better now. The yellow lights are still very bright (blinding), and the contrast is weird, but that sharpening did a lot of good.
Is it possible to disable the keyboard?
The introductory price is quite tempting, how luckily I'm completely out of cash.

You don't seem to understand about perspective, although you have artistic skills.
If you are going to have that look then make the dials at least follow the same look as the rest!
The angle of the dials on the right should look and be diferent to the angle of the dials on the left, simple.
That's the problem with having the perspective look like that, to make it look right you would need to do many versions of the dials and at diferent angles. That's why a staight on aproach is usually used in design as it simpler to achive and looks fine.
Have a word with an art teacher about perspective and how it "should" look.

It's not that I don't *understand* perspective. But every other version of the big knob I put in would add another 1 MB to the file size. (And 4 MB for the selector dial!) So it was a calculated trade off.
The file size right now is about 9 MB. I wanted perspective, but not SO much that it would be REALLY obvious that the knobs are the same. Yes, you're right, they're out of whack. But I decided I'd try it and see how much it offended my eye. Answer was: not enough to justify adding another 20 MB to the file size!
Still, I can always at some later time throw in knobs at different angles to use towards the edges. But the only other developer I've seen doing that so far are Arturia in their new Prophet V. But even there they only have like 4 versions of each knob I think. A center-bottom, center-top left-bottom and and right-top. They use whichever one is closest but as you'll see, it's still full of cheats. And it's a pretty common cheat for GUIs to use the same knob perspective, even if their background implies some perspective.
So there you go, it can change, quite easily (would only take about an hour at this point), but for now I don't see it as worth the bandwidth. Maybe someday though, I am a reality nut and, yeah, it bugs me TOO!
But hey, the KEYBOARD is in real perspective at least! And unlike *everyone* else, I made each key it's own UNIQUE bitmap. 36 different key-pairs with 8 different shadow states each!!! Was not fun.

Personally, I'm totally cool with the knobs as is; I don't think designers are always going for 100% believeability, right? Otherwise most plug-ins would be out the window.\
Hey Admiral - you could always make a 20M version available to those who can handle the b/w...
