tomg the vst emulates the hardware ui too then? its dead easy to program, i can see why you all would have very fond memories/histories with it. cool idea to mix traditional waveforms with various attack types of waveforms. smart... low cost and ease of programming. sort of like a middle-ware rompler in its versatility.

are the factory pre's in that kit of 75 conversions?

Yes look at banks 63-75. There is a manual on Rainer's site for the ESQ. It's close enough.

yep ready to buy the full version,. this fills a unique gap in vst land. nothing quite like this exists. you can get ravity-s to sound kinda gritty like this but not as warm and requires lfx1310.

looking forward to the full version. the ui is wonderfully simple and good idea on the double click menus for fast selection of parameter..

i'd like to see some way to jump more than one program at a time -- maybe shift+click or double click up/down arrows? it'd be great too if the plug had some preset menu to show all presets. since it doesn't use host fxp/fxb stuff it'd be especially useful.

I think the factory bank comes with the VSTi as well.

Sure! Did you get the double-click patch name part? BTW there are really 76 banks in the zip. "factory.8XL" is the ESQ "Factory" bank.

This is a great synth. But it sounds so 80s. It's seems like it needs another 10 years to age properly.

wow!! I had borrowed an ESQ 1 for about a year or so and used it on many recordings. Programmed my own sounds too. This is one of the better vsts I have come across in a long time! Thank you!!

As in the original, the *C* appears when the preset is being changed. The new preset you were tweaking thus occupied a "write buffer." In any case, it doesn't really do anything here on the VSTi.
