calex wrote:What's the official answer on the ePoints applying? ePoints applied in my purchase for the Vintage GB as I guess because it was all downloadable, even though IK products were involved.

As soon as the price was dropped, I figured momentum would pick up considerably. It was a 16+% drop in price for the GB. At the GB new price, the drum loops become almost free, and you get a 2 for 1 deal on the IK effects. That's pretty darn compelling. (That's my own personal assessment of the value to me of the GB)

(my DrumCore GB arrives today - looking forward to that!:) )
Early in the thread Squids said epointz don't get applied because og the effects software. However, I seem to recall them being applied on the Vintage GB as well....maybe they weren't suppose to be applied though ;-)

I'm working on a prog rock (well, kinda prog, kinda rock) demo using exactly the same set from the Bonzo Studio Profiles that I used for the Nashville thingie. In fact, the drums are EXACTLY the same!

After that, I'm going to try out some Alan White Drumcore stuff with the progrocker...

I'll try to keep the verb knob under 11 Squids
Play what you feel and feel what you play.

That's better. Made it at 128. Don't know what happened at 95

Post

Squids may want to chime in to correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the rule on Epointz applying is 1) the product must be downloadable, and 2) it must be a Squids/Esoundz/Sonic Reality product. The vintage GB consisted of IK products developed by Squids and Co., so, with Squids' approval, Epointz could apply.

So many plugins, so little time...

I'm trying to remember, but did we get to select what IK product we wanted with the Vintage GB? I really can't recall. Didn't we get an effect with that? Man, my memory is going.

I just took a look to see what the heck I did with that thing. Yeah, we could select an effect, and I could have gone with either CRV or T-RackS, but ended up going with the Ampeg bass amp simulator. So I'm not sure why Epointz would be ruled out this time, but if there's a reason, there's a reason, whatever it is.

Post

Hey guys... now everything seems to be back on track.. Would it not be better to move this back to the marketplace forum?

I don't know if it's a PITA to do so but I'm sure we'll get even a better response there...

Just a thought.

Hd

Yes, that one was set up in conjunction with the IK two for one deal. We all got Sampletank 2.5 and after we registered that, we qualified for the plug of our choice. That two for one deal is over now, though.

That was a super deal!! I love those sounds!!

129 now!!

I kicked it to 130 just now. Telebunke, I liked some of your posts so I put you down as the referral. :) (Though of course, these GBs are all completely irresistible in their own right!)

Ok, but I still don't understand why the Epointz applied for the Vintage GB, but don't on this one. If they don't, that's fine, I was just wanting to know if it is certain they don't.

Following on what others had said, was it just that the Vintage GB had an exceptional arrangement? If so, yet another reminder of what a sweet GB that thing was.

You are correct. That is generally the rule. There are exceptions. Basically it just comes down to whether the company's products that we're selling are made "eligible" for epointz discounts or not. We try to at least make most if not all of the downloadable sound products eligible for full epointz usage (so apart from the $5 minimum purchase on a CC the rest of a product could be paid all in epointz). We're still working on ways to get epointz usable on more things and also more ways to earn them. It's an ongoing thing but for now you sure do have a lot you CAN use them on and some nice ways to earn them as well!

I think, actually, part of the confusion here is that epointz are actually not supposed to be used on group buys at all and one or two of them they happened to work for some reason. Woops. You got lucky if that happened. It's not supposed to. Unless we make the same mistake this time your epointz shouldn't be applied to it. By the way, your epointz CAN apply to the downloadable sounds on their own from this GB (but bought outside of the GB). So if you wanted to use up your epointz that's one way. But if you want the plug-ins in this great deal then... you will have to just pay $229 (or $199 if you guys can get there... so far its looking good! Keep up the great job spreading the word).

Haha. Exactly. Just so you know, these things sometimes happen behind the scenes and if they do... well, we just figure as long as a mistake is in YOUR favor and it doesn't hurt us too bad then... who's to complain? Just us and we don't. But those things come out of our part, not the company that we partner with so we DO have to be careful! Some of these group buys are very tricky really. But we're perfecting them as we go. We try to save you as much money as we can when it is possible. I think we did pretty good on this group buy! I mean, $100 per effect plug-in and THREE FREE MULTITRACK LIBRARIES in Rex, Apple Loops AND Wave???? Hellooooooooooo!!!!!! That is one sick deal! We're not going to be able to do that everyday so anyone reading this you should really think hard about it and QUICK too because there's only a few days left to join and make it THAT low of a price. I am sure everyone else who has already joined will appreciate it too.

4 days...67 more people who want this at $20 cheaper....16.75 people a day...I know sometimes I feel like .75 people ;-)

Come on folks...look at it this way:

Either you get a classic, very cpu friendly mastering suite and a highly acclaimed algo reverb and 3 fabulous drum libraries for the price of 1 effect....

...OR you get 3 fabulous multi-track drum libraries (I've been able to use 1 bpm set from the Bonzo title in 3 different songs :-o) and a classic mastering suite and a highly acclaimed reverb for the price of two drum libraries.

SQUIDS MUST BE CRAZY!!!!

Jump on this before he comes to his senses! OK, I know there's not much chance of him becoming sane this century ;-) but you should sign up anyway!

Remember, if the geezer made you laugh, refer beergeek so as Berfab says, I can get off the dole :hihi:

Good stuff. So yeah, basically it can go down to $199 + $5 in your account for the next purchase and all you have to do for that is refer someone... plus, if people get hip to what YOU guys are doing and get some referals themselves they might just get $5 + $5 + $5 + $5 and before they know it be able to almost get another library for free! I know some of you have the fun way and more power to ya! Keep spreading the word and telling people your login. Helps them, helps you and helps us. Nice way to do it huh?

Boy this is a really good deal. You have to admit we do a decent job at making these things a no brainer. $100 per plug-in and three FREE BRAND NEW high end libraries???? Man that's good! Too bad there's only 3 days left. I think you guys can hit that low price though. Gotta spread the word though. How many forums has this been posted in? Where's the tally Tele? Haha.

Quite a lot, I think. But I wasn't able to keep track of it this time. We got the European Soccer Cup going on and I am sooooo busy watching them. :D

But what I can tell you is that I started a "spread the word" thread over at

telebunke

If you feel like it, you can refer telebunke at check-out. This will give both of us $5 in epointz.
