Why, thank you! I wrote the song about my experiences at a diner, while I was waiting to meet my friends, Jerry, Elaine, Kramer, and famous actor Jason Alexander.kev2525 wrote:Great Demo Sean. You have a lovely singing voice.

Hi everyone,
Just so no one is waiting on the edge of their seats, the Windows version of ValhallaRoom won't be released this week. Non-Valhalla events have intervened, and I am away from the computer that has the Windows port that was underway. Hopefully next week will return to business as usual.

You almost had us falling out of our chairs. Smooth preemptive April Fools move. Ha-Ha. Funny one.valhallasound wrote:Hi everyone,

SoOOO nice!
I was just running full bright aaltoverb into tweaked Vocal-HugeDarkRoom into WideStereoHall. Super glorious! Highly recommended. Stacked on top of other verbs or sandwiching a verb between two Valhalla Rooms does really good things in general. It gives new life to some crappy verbs! I just bought a poly evolver and I can't wait until it comes so I can use them together, but I have to replenish my funds first.
It's up there with the Fender super verb as one of my favorites. Uhh, actually..any plans for a stompbox version?
My semi-intelligent randomizer is working surprisingly well with Valhalla Room, I guess because there are so many good sounds in it.

Are you talking about the Fender Super Reverb amp? Right now, this is my dream amp. A silverface modded to blackface would suit my sensibilities just fine.
Not at this time. I have played around a lot with the Spin Semiconductor FV-1, which is a low-cost DSP that I enjoy programming, and can be easily integrated into a stompbox. ValhallaFreqEcho started off as a algorithm on this chip. However, both ValhallaShimmer and ValhallaRoom are far too complicated to run on this chip.Uhh, actually..any plans for a stompbox version?![]()
I need to reappraise the embedded market at some point, and see what processors are available. My guess is that the days of the dedicated DSP chips are coming to a close, and ARM processors with fast signal processing instructions are going to become more prevalent.

I just had to buy a new mouse and unfortunately had to realise all the ones below $50 are shit, which was exactly the $50 I had planned for VRoom. :/
Payday on the 15th! Take your time with the Windows version. Don't wanna have to whip out my credit card again...

Razer Deathadder, the respawn model. I had the old one for like 4 years (since it came out), but now the right button is half broken because I dropped the mouse onto the floor.todd_r wrote:Sorry, OT, what you get?oneshotdeal wrote:I just had to buy a new mouse...
I was going for the MS Intellimouse Explorer 3 at first, but then I read the thumb buttons suck and the build quality is cheap, so I went for the Razer again, which is basically the perfected version of the Microsoft one.
Once you get used to 2 thumb buttons and that precision and comfort, you can never go back. Also, with the LED off, it's one of like 5 mice on the market that look simple yet elegant and aren't retardedly ugly. All those "gaming" mice seem to be made for 12 year olds and the non-gaming ones have no or only one thumb button...

I really like the way you did the tool tips. They feel like just the right amount of info and I really appreciate them. Also ValhallaRoom after an IR verb is GOLD. ValhallaRoom levels up all other reverbs!
Anyway, I just sold some stuff so I have the cash. I just have to get around to making a trip to the bank!
I run too much through it. Not the right thing for every occasion, but I try it anyway
because when it works it really works! Of course there are more factors than just the reverb at play...
I read that modeling spring reverbs is "impossible" or too complex to do on (I think) the Audio Damage site. Thoughts?

Yeah, I just love the sound of it. Worth it! Live the dream.valhallasound wrote: Are you talking about the Fender Super Reverb amp? Right now, this is my dream amp. A silverface modded to blackface would suit my sensibilities just fine.

So, yeah, I've thought about it.
At some point, I want to revisit spring reverb models. Before that, I need to finish up VRoom for Windows, and get out some more plugins, including a few non-reverb ones so I don't end up being just a reverb guy. I also need to let my spring reverb ideas percolate for awhile...
