Also, what exactly is the Phase knob doing when NOT in DT mode? The manual states: "Phase knob controls phase difference of a (Oscillator 1) and b (Oscillator 2) to Output (O)."
Do you mean the start phase of the calculated waveform? Or do you mean a continuous phase relationship of the output? A little confused by what it is actually doing. I know that in DT mode it detunes b/t the OScs but maybe you can give an example of what it does in one of the combo OSC modes? Thanks

In non-detuned modes it controls the phase difference like the manual says. In detuned modes it doesn't control the phase difference at all but the amount of detuning instead.snigelx wrote:Also, what exactly is the Phase knob doing when NOT in DT mode? my god the textures this thing can generate. i can't honestly say that i enjoy the new filter more than the normal one. the normal filter plays very well(better) with some of the distortion algos and ultimately with some of the input from the osc combinations.
can't wait to be able to modulate leakage (in mod matrix) and that pre/post filter switch (in the host)..right now i'm just resampling manually switching it on and off. nice feature!

It's just a matter of time

I really like that there is a nice clear button there to swuct back and forth between the old and new filter. I definitely like to see how it sounds both ways, and also I was expecting considerably more CPU use with the new filter than with out but it doesn't seem to make that big of a hit really. And when it does I just lower the total voices done to 8 or so and not problem even on my old Core2Duo.

I'm having a little trouble understanding the Filter LFO's Rate modes, if that is what is expected. When set to a non-quantized setting it works fine, but when I set it to the tempo-synced modes it just seems to be really really slow and not fitting the lables correctly. Am I misunderstanding this behavior?

Thanks, yeah I've got it under control nowgeorge wrote:braj wrote:velocity can be modified with Modulation Matrix too

@braj - For example, if you want the LFO to cycle to the nearst 16th note then select that tempo mode for the LFO and turn the Rate knob to reflect integer "1". I suppose the rates are multiples of the note value so that 1 is a 16th note, 2 is a 8th note, 3 is triplet, etc - Try that.

Also I had a freak-out today, I reloaded a project that had an instance of Corona with its arp set to 'on' and trigger set to 'song pos' and when it didn't sound I thought something was wrong with Corona so deleted and re-loaded the plugin, then selected the appropriate patch and again no voice until I remembered that Song Pos was on. You need to run the project in the DAW for it to run the arp

How do you create a new bank in the Preset browser? Also, when I save a preset in my host's environment that contains multiple arps, only the active one is saved, and if I switch arp presets and switch back, it gets set to whatever the Corona patch's preset was, so I'm finding using my DAW's internal system to be limiting in this regard, though I would prefer to use it. This is Studio One v2.
EDIT: OK, I figured it out on Windows at least
:
Go to ~/Documents/discoDSP/Corona/Banks and just create a new directory, then reload Corona and the new directories will appear in the Preset browser. That's easy enough, though I couldn't find this directly in the manual, I got the gist of it from the Arp section though. Anyhow I'll just use Corona's system since it seems Studio One may be incompatible. Not a huge issue, but I wonder how it is working in other hosts.
EDIT: Aha and I also see what is happening with the arp presets, whatever was the last state for the patch gets stored in the host preset system, and the arp presets are independent of any patches. OK, that actually gives a lot of flexibility for creating patch-specific arps, though they will only be available in the host. Still it all makes sense to me now, I see what is going on finally
I get confused easily BTW.

Hi
Yet another request. But I'll preface this request with a compliment about the interface again. It seems there was some thought behind the minimal nature of the interface design, because I can really sit back and twiddle the controls for a long while without becoming fatigued or feeling strained to see certain parameters. This is extended in the form of BIG bold text in the menus..nice. Again, good job there. Maybe not for someone who likes a futuristic spaceship dashboard to get inspired to create, but definitely something for those who just want to get in and start designing in a practical manner. (I find it a little difficult to work with things like Absynth or Alchemy, for instance...At least for long sessions.
Anyway, this leads me to the request. George it would be nice to have a folder refresh button, either in the edit menu or in the drop-down waves menu. I find when adding waves I must delete the plugin instance completely and re-instantiate it before I can choose my newly added waves in the user waves menu. Thanks for considering.
Also, nice with the right-click anywhere on the interface to access the Edit menu. This makes it quick to Cut or INIT the current patch.
Cheers, Jason
PS. So has anyone loaded up some drumloops as waves yet in 2 or 3 OSC's and ran some maths on them? Great fun with that Unison spread combined with various OSC modes

Yes, it's already on the to-do list. I think refresh should be automatic.snigelx wrote:George it would be nice to have a folder refresh button, either in the edit menu or in the drop-down waves menu.
