Working on a track atm featuring Charlatan. Download of the current state of progress is here: http://www.mediafire.com/?jhckfxscwqz5obb
The main pad/lead that starts at the beginning is Charlatan along with the bass in this track.

With the final release of 1.0, I plan to set up an official Charlatan website where I can host preset banks and old versions. As I'll be quite busy at work for the next few days (incl. week-end!) this could take another week or so...bpblog wrote:+1VSTJuNkiE wrote:Can you put links to all the presets on the 1st page or compile them all to one bank? Less clutter/searching....?
that would be neat!
PS
are the older versions still available for download somehwere? i need to update my bank, it sounds completely wrong in the latest version.

Let me add my thanks for your time and efforts in offering us your synth. It has a lot going for it. It's simple to operate and it looks and sounds good.
I have not read the 15 pages of this thread so forgive me if this has been covered already. If I could find any fault with Charlatan it would be that it is somewhat static. Now it's easy enough to automate parameters but for real time playing it would be nice to have a little more control/interaction.
I'm not suggesting a big modulation matrix but perhaps adding after touch and additional velocity control to make it feel more alive?

There is a knob for velocity control but i think it's amplitude only. It's located somewhere to the bottom right (i dont have my sequencer running atm).

Velocity controls only the Mod Envelope depth, not the amp envelope.Crackbaby wrote:There is a knob for velocity control but i think it's amplitude only. It's located somewhere to the bottom right (i dont have my sequencer running atm).

Version 1.0 final has just been released! I have to stress this does not mean Charlatan will not receive new features anymore, I just feel that it's now in a shape worth a 1.0 release. Also note that I finally got my own website (looks pretty boring right now):

Super cool man
The only thing I think is missing is a Delay with the ability of BPM Sync.
However you have a bread and butter winner here. Thank you.
