I used my original link that was sent to me (at V3.00) to try to update, but wanted to check to make sure I got the most recent update. I check the vst properties as well as the interface for any sign of a version but couldn't find how to confirm my version muyber. How can I check this?

Should be in the lower right-hand corner, directly below the "ON" button for Noise.
