My presets include some in straight fourths (particularly in Keyboard Mode), standard guitar, and straight fifths (for my GPO solo strings setups). Really you can do anything you want, including left-handed tunings.Shane Sanders wrote:Do these things allow for a straight fourths tuning?
Later I'm even going to put in modes to change the step size between frets, including negative scaling (upside-down!).

Hey all! I just bought an EZ-AG and noticed this awesome forum for it. I haven't gone through all the postings yet, but I was just wondering if anyone ever found a workound for notes hanging? Like, I will play a note and it will continue to play until I hit the bar! So guitar solos notes all bleed through and sound like mush. Does anyone here have suggestions on how to work around this problem?

There are two scripts that we're working on to add lots of functionality to the EZ-G's. Try 'em both, use your favorite, or bug the developers for new stuff.

has anyone tried finger picking with the EG?
I have a ztar but it doesnt have string triggers, i would be very interested in one of these if you can fingerpick to any degree with it.

Hi Markleford,
just got home and wanted to post details about that switching-presets-error and to my big surprise it is just working now, i wonder how...
I tried that a hundred times before and did not change anything in my setup... Very strange... Anyway i´m sure that there is some problem on my system with a corrupted midi-driver. (I got an Hoontech C-Port and after Hoontech has been bought by ESI, they somehow abandoned driver developement for that otherwise great audio-interface.) Somehow i got two entries for the same midi-port (plus the "emulated" one of course) and I´m quite sure that that driver is causing problems, i also get a bluescreen everytime i shut down your or Marc´s script saying something like IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL... So don´t worry, it´s definitely a problem in my system not of your script
Sorry for bothering you, i feel like a complete idiot now...
And hi Marc!
Still i have to admit, that i like the flexible handling of fret down/up actions in your script better then in MArkleford´s solution... So if you are reading this and if i may have a wish for a feature, i would ask for the possibility of pulling-off to an open string...
At the moment "last velo" when pulling off to an open string results in having the released fret triggered instead of the open string... Maybe it would be a good idea to have it work like it does in Markleford´s script now, where the open string only sounds if it has been plucked before. (if possible, otherwise the open strings would be triggered too easy/often maybe... Best thing of course would be to have that user-adjustable also.) Or did i miss something in our app??? I still could not figure out what the options "Mute > 1" and so on in the "Open strings" menu may mean...
Anyway, i would love to see that feature in your script, Marc!
Hopefully i´m not asking for to much and hopefully Markleford won´t take it as an insult...
Thanks again so much to the two of you ... Still the best would be to have the advantages of your two scripts rolled into one, for me that´s the open string-thing and the visual display of triggered frets & velocity from Markleford and the versatile fret up/down-actions from Marc... I´m waiting and hoping, at least hoping that i don´t fall on your nerves...

Cool. It should be here tomorrow, so after a day or so, I'll try out the scripts. What does the GUI look like for these scripts?Markleford wrote:My presets include some in straight fourths (particularly in Keyboard Mode), standard guitar, and straight fifths (for my GPO solo strings setups). Has anyone used a breath-controller in conjunction with an EZ?

Marc's looks like an e-commerce order form!Shane Sanders wrote:What does the GUI look like for these scripts?
Mine looks like a grid of rectangles representing each row of frets, each with the note name inside. They start dark grey, go red when pressed, and go dark red when held (and un-sounding) while a higher note has solo priority. I actually did a version with pictures of lit and unlit buttons from a digital camera, but it messed with the contrast of the note labels.
Not that I know of, but both of our scripts have support for an external mod pedal. It should be simple to read breath control information from another port and merge it to the main output with the EZ.Has anyone used a breath-controller in conjunction with an EZ?

>At the moment "last velo" when pulling off to an open string results in having the released fret triggered instead of the open string
I'm not sure how to handle this. Maybe the best way would be to check the Note Off Time Out.
If the note time out has expired the open string is not played, otherwise it will.
And this would be an independent option (On/Off)
Open String options:
Play, Mute: (I let you guess
)
Auto Mute: (if not a single fret is pressed, it will play, but I'm not to crazy about this one)
Mute > 1 ..11: If the last fret pressed is greater than the value, it is muted.
When I play bass, I very often accidentally hit the open string (wild strumming), something that I don't want. But I still want to be able to play that deeeep low E string, so I press a lower fret or release them all to let it play.
