Yeah, nice track loris!

I dug a bit deeper into synthedit and it starts to make a bit more sense to me how it works now. It's actually kind of fun to play with, not shure if i'm able to make something good out of it, but i already have some ideas i want to test out.
I guess i'll just need to have some patience, can't build Rome in one day.

Thanks Xenobioz, i seen those knob strip pictures and wondered how the easiest way to make them in photoshop, but i'l have a look at knobman.

By the way, I hope it's not inherit to the app, but Mantra Evo seems to send out midi signals for modulation, if you send in midi modulations. Any DAW that responds to this automatically, will create an extra track with the same modulations or may do worse, who knows. Suffice to say that it's bugged in totally novel ways, haha!

I'm just writing this to warn you, in case you use the same synth maker, you better check for that?!

I'll see how it goes, now i just need figure out how to save it as VST without error messages.

My synth is a remake of a Renoise instrument i made earlier, with some modifications. It can synthesize cymbal sounds, not many synths can do that!

Yeah, cymbals are rough. I figured out some neat solutions with mux, too, though. But that's pretty powerful anyway.
I wonder, if this thing is able to compile 64 bit, though?!
I had played with the vst sdk for a few hours some time ago and recently took a look again and compiled a 64 bit version without any troubles via the free VisualStudio2013 express.

I doubt i can make it 64 bit, it seems to only support 32 bit.
Now i was able to save it as VST, but when i load it in Renoise the whole interface is gone, all is left is a lot of unlabeled sliders.

I thought i did exactly as the tutorial, but maybe i forgot something? Ah, well, spent the whole day with this thing now. Pretty happy with the result though, even though it lacks an interface.

I just had to listen to this.

Given what you had to work with, I think it's excellent. Very different sounding. A little volume instability that I could hear anyway, but for the most part, I'm impressed that you got THAT out of THIS.

Uh, I really like the percussion a lot! Some nice patches, too.
It gets a little chaotic and the mid loudness feels pretty aggressive, kind of swallowing everything. But maybe it's just my "loudness envy", hahaha.... I yet have to figure out what I have to do to push stuff up properly. Ah well...
It's not like I wasn't using heavy compression, hmmm.... ah well.

Anyway, wicked track, doctorbob!

Just replaced the track with an "extra" strum-like thing track to add a bit more to the early rhythms
