I actually wondered if NI will start selling Block-Packs now ;-)

I am sure they will. I hope they will offer a blocks version of all their commercial synths like the entirety of razor, prism and molekular and not just a few pieces of them.

Reaktor 6 is not mutli-thread capable?
So my 6 core (12 threads) Xenon processor will not help Reaktor?

Is Reaktor 6 mutli-touch ready?
Asking as I may get a Windows multi-touch monitor.

If you're running six instances in your DAW they should spread over the six cores.

It does put a limit on a single instance but in reality shouldn't prevent most reaktor instruments from running fine.

Even if they don't there are a bunch of oscillators and filters, lfos, effects in the use library that will likely get conveyed into blocks, basically making them much more accessible.

Good times for reaktor users.

Good times for builders too. More visibility for little things like a cool new oscillator. Small things will be a much clearer target, and builders may not feel such a need to build big ' masterpiece' ensembles.

Crazy !!!!
Looks like a very elaborate way to create noise.

However, stock patches sound very good to me, somewhat analog.

I don't see anything to change font size, I am on Mac, nothing in Preferences nor in Edit/View/Options menu...

As an owner of REAKTOR 3 you qualify to install and activate this version.
(update for £89...)
"As a UK resident you qualify to be charged 20% more than other EU residents for the same update."

£89 = 121.71 Euros

That was actually my nightmare. ;-)
We can all "thank" IK for setting an example for how to _not_ do it. :dog:

But this release actually underlines the qualities of Reaktor in my view.
The Blocks all sound excellent and the idea behind them makes sense, the other changes are all very welcome and show commitment to the platform, even if some things aren't there yet (scripting being the one I miss most).
As a non-Komplete-user, I'm quite happy to buy an update every 10 years for such a powerhorse... ;-)

Cheers,

Tom

I see that custom blocks are already starting to appear in the user library

Awesome indeed - the only problem I see coming up is keeping all the blocks updated and different versions used in different ensembles all somehow synced...
Automatic update/download for Blocks?
Versioning?

Most of them probably won't need that many updates. But yeah, that is certainly a potential hassle.

One thing is a bit of a shame with R6. Given that patches are now all tagged in Kontrol, it would have been nice to have access to this within Reaktor itself. On the other hand, maybe a better solution there anyway is to make Kontrol work far better, and allow us to search solely all the Reaktor libraries at once, arranging results by ensemble so it's quick to browse.

Reaktor is a bottomless pit design-wise, but there's now such a broad range of excellent libraries, better managing those at the simplest level is still a challenge.
