Hi everyone, here's my latest development update for SynthMaster 3:
1. Waveform Editor: Completed!
2. Wavetable Editor: Almost done
3. Sample Editor: Going back to this one in a couple of days
As you see from the screenshots, I imported thousands of single cycle waveforms, downloaded from: https://www.adventurekid.se/.../adventu ... waveforms/
The import process is trivial: Just drag-n-drop the topmost folder into the waveform view and SynthMaster is going to add that folder to its search paths list for waveforms (Similar workflow will apply to wavetables and sample/multisamples). Similarly, you can import the following wavetables as well: https://www.reddit.com/.../1700_wavefor ... serums.../ (Import does NOT copy the files into SynthMaster folders, just reads metadata from the files, such as root note, number of samples, peak values, etc)
You can also drag-n-drop a single WAV file, the file contents is instantly copied to the current waveform.
For waveform/wavetable generation, I also added random waveform generation. Which is quite handy to come up with waveforms with random shapes.
and most important of all, SynthMaster 3 now saves all custom waveforms / wavetables / sfzs (edited by the user) inside the preset file. This way, all the content is stored in a single file. (A little note on sfzs though: sfz files store links to sample files so the sample files are not stored inside the preset file. But I'll make sure the files are loaded without any issues when you load the preset back!)

Maybe partially. (for buttons, containers, knobs and sliders). We'll see.

Will SynthMaster 3 have Linux support?
Vendor‑Dependent Copy Protection: Customers lose. Pirates win.
(Also: I'm Accused of lying about Linux—it boots, runs my pro audio workflow, stays stable, updates--though yearly dismissed as “niche”. Yet I'm the deluded one.)

After I finish SynthMaster 3 iOS and SynthMaster 3 Player I think I might find some time to work on Linux. (That would be around 2025 Q1)

Just to add to this, I hope SM3 has at least one nice sharp modern dark-mode theme because while I love the functionality of the current synths they're a bit flat and fuzzy which brings the inspiration level down a notch or two (you know what I'm comparing them to in my head).kv331 wrote: Tue Aug 15, 2023 2:33 pmMaybe partially. Something like Spire or Rapid's dark skins would be great for SM3, or if Plugmon made one

I don't know why kv331 underestimate my hard work this way,i was ready to give them a lot of stuff almost for free.twal wrote: Tue Aug 22, 2023 1:02 amKeep it up, you da bomb bro!VELLTONE MUSIC wrote: Mon Aug 21, 2023 9:56 am I only wish sm3 to be solid enough,so to play sm1 and sm2 presets without issues,so to develop my dynamic reshaping system and make multi-layers with huge amount of presets i made for these two and just keep dust in few folders.
Over 2000 new presets will be combined as layers with most suitable 5500 old in sm3 for best 3D sound.
And most interesting part is that kv331 doesn't care about that:):)
Cheers
Both masters have unique modulation capabilities, hard to be found else where, but after such rejection, which is basically saying we don't wanna work with you, they fkt up their user, not mine
I can recreate less or more everything i made with sm so far,but why is that, because i criticize sometime (objectively) - if i don't like these synths i wouldn't waste my time here...anyway,just all this is out of any logic to me,my question to kv331 - why you don't wanna SM3 to be the first synth, which have Vienna Symphony in a single preset,WHY?
I had nothing, but friendly attitude to this company and these two amazing synths, now i just don't care, there is so many other synths i do exciting stuff...

I wonder if there will be some new/extra sample content with SM3?

The VAnalog oscillator is almost done! You can even do audio rate modulation (amplitude, phase or frequency), with/without hard sync. I also created some basic waveform shapes by looking at the analog shapes we sampled from Andromeda, BassStation, Sub Fatty, MS20 Mini, OB6, Prophet 6, Juno 106 and SH101.
In future updates, I will also add a menu item to convert the vanalog oscillator into a wavetable
There is also a new Sample&Hold Noise genarator as a modulation source + new types of noises for the basic oscillator (White, Pink, Brown, Blue and Violet noises)
I have about 3-4 weeks of work before releasing a beta version with a proper UI for the desktop (the above prototype skin is for 4x3 iPad layout. The desktop layout will have 16x9 aspect ratio). The beta version will not include the Granular & Slice/Loop Oscillators though. They will hopefuly come at the end of October.
Cheers
