I tried many things, but still no success

Do you have to transfer the syx. data with a midi cable which is not usb?
I tried to transfer the factory preset trough a usb misdi cable into the bcf, but no result

Hello,
Kind of pre sale question regarding BCR2000. I'm using C5 and therefore I'm wondering following.
With new BCR2000 unit, if used right from the box - will I be able to switch (jump) between C5 devices and vst WITHOUT using mouse?
For example, first I'm controlling vst effect then I want to edit some vst instruments effects. Is this possible or do that without touching the mouse ( as with Novation SL Mk II)? Or do I need to use some Mackie mode to accomplish this?
Thanks in advance.

I don't know Cubase, but when using my BCF2000 in Live 8, if it's set up as a remote (in midi preferences) it assigns the rotaries and the top row of buttons to whatever plugin you last clicked on, while the bottom row of buttons are permanently assigned to track record on/off, and the faders stay assigned to the track faders. Very similar to the ReMOTE SL setup in Live ...DigiPRO wrote:I'm controlling vst effect then I want to edit some vst instruments effects. Did you try downloading and installing the latest firmware using the firmware tool? I think the last time I updated I used a USB cable direct into a USB port on my PC. You should probably install the latest midi drivers too.Soundcheck wrote:the lcd screen said: No OS

Thanks for your answer. Well that is exactly what I want to avoid - using mouse to select plugin or effect. In other words, I want to use BCR2000 in Cubase 5 as shown here:thecontrolcentre wrote:I don't know Cubase, but when using my BCF2000 in Live 8, if it's set up as a remote (in midi preferences) it assigns the rotaries and the top row of buttons to whatever plugin you last clicked on, while the bottom row of buttons are permanently assigned to track record on/off, and the faders stay assigned to the track faders. Can I do that in Cubase 5 WITHOUT additional programming?!
Cheers.

You have to download the firmware software from behringer site and also first install the windows driver without having the bc connected. after install connect BC directly via USB (not the cable you are showing) then try to update the firmware from th BC unit.
If it fails then your BC is broken, get it repaired.
Why should something easy be simple?

What a long time?Does anyone still have the B-Control Edit 0.2 beta 3 installer? The link in the first post is dead. I need it to fix a BCR2000 with a corrupted global config. Thanks!

Thanks for the tip! I've heard about BC Manager, but the original website is dead and I can't find a working download anywhere.I'm just a midi noob, and located in a place with some internet restrictions.I almost exhausted all my means to find this post.If anyone to have the installer file saved somewhere, or know a mirror that still works? That would be a huge help!
