Bold claims (by the press, not necessarily UnMet).

Aren't we all producing cinematic trailers on our iPad now? Beware the Bait of the Clicketh.

vertibration wrote: Thu Feb 06, 2020 3:39 pm where does it clearly state its 32 bit only?
Wasn't clearly stated but looks very likely.
How does it look very likely?
Because in the promo video Ummet is using the old version of SynthEdit. The 32-bit only one.
He could have been showing its origins, its an 8 year old synth that he has been working on. Maybe he was just trying to build a story around it. I definitely would not think its only going to be 32 bit. The hype with his videos, seems like way too much effort for him to release only 32 bit.

I think this has turned into a marketing ploy on it's own.

Is it 32 bit or 64 ?

The dev could easily confirm one way or the other, but seems to be having a laugh watching everyone speculate.

If I am understanding this correctly, the video shows the synth being made on an older version of SE, with outdated modules, that cannot be updated with a simple update to SE, therefore the assumption is it's going to be 32bit only ?

And this synth has been in development for 8 years ?

are you new here? :hihi:

i dont get why he is getting so much grief, it's not his fault if it's 32bit only, it's clearly a labour of love.... nobody is getting ripped off.
Bit late to the party considering this was announced a long time ago, as times changed, DAW's do not support 32bit plugins anymore and the bridging software isn't 100% reliable. I would like to buy this, but I cannot use it, so why should I bother. jbridge has stopped working for me, and i'm not purchasing new bridging software just for this. It stops being 1 Euro then.
Well it's a good thing then that Bitwig supports 64 bit as well as 32 bit :D
But Cubase doesn't, and you need a solid bridge to make it work. I really need to contact the jbridge dev tbh, to explain it's not working anymore.

What do you mean by not working anymore?

it may have taken 8 years, but i very much doubt he has been working on it all that time.

as for a marketing ploy.... it costs €1....

Look at that view count on youtube. :o The HYPE is strong with this one.

TBH, most people are looking at the price and goes ape shit. I have no doubt that it is a great synth, but come on. It's not the second coming of VST-Jesus.

And if it's win only and 32-bit on top of that, the hype will die down fast.
