I believe the opposite is true because as I understand that ACE is inspired by ARP 2600 and it works without cabling anything because it's already cabled while Bazille is supposed to be a digital monster with FM and PD the most obvious synthesis. So that, I have both

They're both inspired and branced from the same project tho.

rob papen stuff is underrated (i mean none of them were mentioned in musicradar 2019 best vst synth list IIRC)

TAL synths are totally under rated. I'm not saying they've got no recognition, but they sure deserved more.

Oh! Do you mean from the Berlin Modular? Yes it might be true. Maybe he divided it to two smaller projects. I really don't know about Urs big project. Is he still working on it? or abandoned? or never know? Anyway, a great move. I hope he adds a step sequencer to ACE

The Modular one from Tal reminds me of U-he's Ace, whereby I prefer the Tal.

Underrated: Lots of my Cubase Artist 7.5 plug-in's, especially Halion Sonic SE, RoomWorks and EnvelopShaper. AAS stuff. Rob Papen's Blue. Respiro, although it's quite young. Native Instruments stuff. On KVR NI stuff often do not get the special love and they do deserve that in my opinion. Massive X, Reaktor, FM8, Kontakt and Guitar Rig are among the best plug-in's in my arsenal.

Overrated: I got analog hardware, so do not rave too much about software

Underrated: Waves Doubler. Doesn't look much, but a very useful collection of features in a very productive interface.

Overrated: Black box HG-2 (plug-in version). So many people claiming this thing is magic on the 2-bus. Very easy to fool yourself with bad level-matching. Outcomes no better than SDRR or Reelbus 4 to my ears.

"density" knob on it is level matched. I think Black Box HG-2 is good when not overdone.
i don't know how is waves doubler under-rated, people call every micropitching/microdelay thing a "doubler" today.

Overrated:
I know I’m going to get a lot of flak for this, but Serum. Don’t get me wrong, I love it. But I feel like EDM guys keep acting like it’s the end of all synthesis, and I actually prefer Massive for certain sounds due to the dual filter architecture. Once again, great synth, but I think it’s talked about so much it doesn’t leave room for other options.
