When I first looked at the full gui I saw the "Hypersaw" section and thought "Cool, I wonder how that will sound? Can't wait to give it a try".
wow, you've never heard a hypersaw before?
:o
You know I have and in fact most of my favorite synths have hypersaw or supersaw what ever you want to call them.

But what I'm interested to hear is how Warlock's Hypersaw compares to the other synths in my folder.

Will it bring something new to my folder, will it add something to the sonic palette I already have ?

You know being curious about the sound rather than what's missing from a screenshot of the gui.

"mindset".. Jesus H. C.
See my post above abut the mindset of begin curious about the sound rather than complaining about what's missing from the gui.

Like I said some people focus on a synth's weaknesses and some people focus on its strengths.

The latter are far more likely to get favorable results from a synth than the former.......

prob not, there's very little that's new or innovative these days, but it's a nice gateway into T2 synths for those who can't afford the more fully featured ones

Well we won't know until we try it will we ?

I've always felt Tone 2 synths have their own unique character so it's quite possible Warlock will bring a new flavor to my table.

I'm looking forward to giving it a try. Are you ?

no, I can tell from the (very pleasant) gui that it has nothing to offer I don't already have covered

I always liked the Tone2 sound, but, every other of their synths was either too expensive for me, or it had some workflow or feature set which didn't do it for me, so, Warlock could be something I'd actually buy and use. Used to own Electra2, which sounded great to me, but, I couldn't bear the workflow. I'm curious to see if Warlock does it for me.

it's hard to tell if you're joking or not. i know this is a crazy idea, but what if a synth's sound had some sort-of value? and that value was greater than how it looks, what it costs, what someone on KVR thinks of it...

So you can tell by a picture what a synth sounds like ? You know exactly what "Hypersaw Autochord 3X" sounds like just by looking at the gui ?

Well if you have no interest in the synth then you have no interest in this thread. So have a nice day. :tu:

It looks quite generic but if there is a free trial version I will give it a go as long as I don't have to sign in or sign up for anything.

im not joking... if you've been around synths long enough, you can tell by the feature set what it's capable of (roughly)

if i see something new, I'll give it a go out of interest, but usually it turns out to be the dev giving something basic a fancy new name :hihi:

(I'm not saying that's the case here)

and how long does one have to be around synths to develop this skill? to be able to tell what a synth sounds like by seeing a screenshot of it's GUI? :ud:

Markus Krause wrote: Wed Dec 09, 2020 4:17 pm Noone here still has been using this synth so far. You should wait with conclusions till you have used the product and built own sounds with it.

- The speed of all 4 LFOs can be changed.
- 3 of them can also synced to BPM.
- The waveform of 3 of them can be changed.
- One of them can be routed freely to many different targets. The routing of the others is fixed.
markus, who has created this plugin, is probably a reliable source of info about it...
But where did he say that those "4" LFO's can be controlled with one knob, as you claimed?

Again, without trying it myself, I can only guess, and it looks to me that the one LFO on the GUI is completely separate from the three task-specific ones.
Type, Send, and Routing, probably correspond to Waveform, Amount, and Target respectively on other synths.
