Which ones? I don't really know of other bass synths. If you mean 303's thats what most of the thread is about.

There's a few from Moog - the Taurus pedals, then the Sub Fatty and Sub 37s (which can do more than bass but that's the main function). Novation have their Bass Station II.Echoes in the Attic wrote: Tue Oct 24, 2023 11:26 pmWhich ones? I don't really know of other bass synths. If you mean 303's thats what most of the thread is about.

I think a bigger question is how does it compare to Phoscyon 2, Roland Cloud TB-303, and ABL

In order of best sound ABL -> Roland/Phoscyon -> Arturiastoopicus wrote: Sat Oct 28, 2023 8:13 pm I think a bigger question is how does it compare to Phoscyon 2, Roland Cloud TB-303, and ABL
ABL is best for authenticity
Phoscyon is best for sequence flexibility as it has different accent and envelope options.
Arturia is best for tone flexibility since it has that sub
Roland is in the cloud
one million dollars please.

The 101 seems like it might be a reasonable comparison since the Arturia Acid has the sub, but really they still don't sound much alike.

One of the best sounding bass synth and totally overlooked is subboombass2 by Rob papen.
As usual work rob, the UI is crap but it sounds really really good.

Thanks bro... Hopefully mid-January I'd start to be able to experience my own life again. Only a few weeks now.martiu wrote: Sat Oct 28, 2023 12:27 pmI hope things get better for you so you can sit down relaxed and have some funsimon.a.billington wrote: Tue Oct 24, 2023 9:50 am It's a crime really. Just updated to V Collection X yesterday, taking advantage of the intro price. Looking forward to messing with it.

I thought by "drop" you meant "released" , hate these new terminologies "bass drop" , "we gonna drop the beat next week" arghh

I believe the title is a wordplay on 'dropping acid' which is slang for... well you know...TS-12 wrote: Tue Jan 02, 2024 10:31 pm I thought by "drop" you meant "released" , hate these new terminologies "bass drop" , "we gonna drop the beat next week" arghh

"Release" was the primary connotation, so your thought was correct.
And that is the secondary connotation; the "drops Acid" in the title is a double-entendre. So if you picked up on the secondary connotation, then you also got to appreciate the wittiness of the title.cdbaksu wrote: Tue Jan 02, 2024 10:38 pm I believe the title is a wordplay on 'dropping acid' which is slang
