Is anyone experiencing slowness with browsing/auditioning "Untagged Loops" samples/loops in the Browser with Logic Pro 11 (either using up/down keys or mouse clicking)? I am using Samsung T7 2TB SSD as my external drive.

I am frequently getting a preview/loading pop up when browsing sounds. Also, I had Logic Pro crash/quit a couple of automatically when browsing sounds.

This did not happen with Logic Pro 10.8.1. I removed and added all Untagged Loops folders again but it did not help.

Wow, the 11.0.1 update is already out and mentions to fix the issues I have been facing. Gonna update right away! Kudos to Apple Logic Pro team.

Auditioning an audio file in the Files browser no longer causes Logic Pro to calculate file overviews, blocking interaction with the app in the interim.

Fixes an issue where Logic Pro could quit unexpectedly when previewing Untagged Loops in the Loop Browser.

sooo this is my pure speculation. but since logic pro has gone to ipad their main .1 updates have been every 6 months but this is only data from 2 events so 100% not enough to go on, more just a hunch. but if my hunch is correct it will come out in mid november to early december.

Interesting data point. And my view of seeing this was that since Apple is potentially coming up with M4 Macs next month, I thought we could see a new Logic Pro update sometime post that event.

November looks like a good time. The most important part is that we should get the features we are looking for.

no source, just speculation, but it's been 4 years since ARA stopped working - if Apple cared about this in the slightest, it would've been fixed already.

bitwig has had sandboxing for 10 years including programs that can be hosted in the daw. no ara.

logic got sandboxing without the ability to host programs in the daw and it broke ara.

seems like there is something complex about ara and sandboxing working together. Its been 4 years to your point. neither celemony or apple has found a way to create a pipeline between sandboxed plugin and daw. in 4 years?

This is either the most complex thing in the world for devs to figure out or apple and celemony are in a p*ssing contest. apple looking at celemony being like u need to fix this for your companies profits and celemony being like ur a trillion dollar company and your daw is suffering from the lack of non ara why not just put some money into the problem?

either way... doesn't seem like progress is being made in this area. Which is extremely disappointing.

when i was on logic i was using the silicon logic and just clicking transfer and freezing the track and pressing play. it was decently quick. but when you just got a fat stack of harmonies you were like im just going to go bring this into s1 for the ara this is too much time to just sit here and do this for all these tracks.

Logic even when owned by Emagic back in the day has always been an odd DAW. Multi instruments were strange to hook up, MIDI from AUi's meant having an AUi in a MIDI slot etc. Plus it's something about AUi, in DP11 ARA is supported but only in VST3 format. So unless it's fixed in AUv3 and Celemony haven't gotten to it, it's likely an AU limitation IMO.

Not sure where to ask, but are there any macOS developers here? I'm wondering how can I hook my color values into Logic's UI. Certain values are part of specific .plist files, but others seem to be coded in since v11 at least. And most importantly - I am not looking into any ready-made solutions. I want to figure out how to genuinely do it.
