Well anything that comes from a company who decided it was a good idea to try and emulate the TB303 control panel as a user interface would have to be shit city.

Did they think something that was so bloody awful to program in hardware was going to magically become easier just because you used a mouse instead of your fingers?

I'm sure this has been mentioned before, but these polls really only show what people at KVR think, and KVR is very PC centric.

Not meaning any offense by that, but on the mac side, only SX runs VST, and AU is only beginning to get the kind of foothold DX and VST have on the windows side. Since this forum is mainly about plug formats that translate between apps, how many MAS Digital Performer people do you think are here? or Pro Tools users?
The over all vibe of the place is that of composer, rather than engineers, so that crowd is under represented. Then there's the fact that mac sites like OSXAudio cater to the Apple crowd, so the mac side is reduced by even more than actual market share.

You get the point.

Anyway I voted other, and Pro Tools has my vote, for not making a reasonable mid range package, and writing piss poor drivers for their consumer gear.

Seriously though no one can tell me FL Studio and Orion are the # 1 and # 2 WORST hosts ever. One could argue they aren't the BEST but certainly not the WORST.

I'd be interested in people's opinions why. Or perhaps it is just spite between the Orionauts and Fruity Mafia.
