That's my suspicion too.jens wrote: Sat Nov 09, 2024 5:53 pm Yeah, well, I'm not sure I'd call it criticism - I think I know why they did it - it's the first time ever they added something for free after all and given the somewhat lackluster response to the V6 release... I have a hunch they just looked for a quick way to possibly appease disgruntled customers and get more people to upgrade (in my case they're still unsuccessful btw) - I don't think that when V6 came out this was already in their plans. I also assume that it's based on the TERC code.
Edit: don't get me wrong though - TERC is an excellent chorus and if it's indeed based on that code that's a good thing for sure.
I think T-Racks bread and butter is analog emulations. But some of them are quite old. I think they could've done some "MK II" versions of their plugins (Black76, White2A, Fairchild) and that would've been more appealing. Or use some ML Learning to recreate EQ/Preamp hardware like a new 1073 or API EQ set. Those may been enticing. Instead I think they strayed too far away from emulations of classic gear and I think people just weren't feeling it, hence the lack of upgrade interest.
Just my two cents.
