Find it in the pic/graphics thing (p) and adjust brightness/gamma etcpdxindy wrote: Thu Apr 23, 2026 9:16 pm In the images directory is a series of 100 png files showing the knob pointer in all orientations. I didn't find a color definition for them, so it seems like it would require one to edit all the png files to change the knob pointer color.
Zebra 3.0 - out now

Z3 can do big supersaw pads. Mega dense. It absolutely cripples my CPU though

Different people have different opinions and as the size of a group increases, the potential for a difference in opinion also increases? No. I'm surprised anyone would want it, the consensus appeared to prefer the new skin.
Shocking news! More at 11!

Never taking in to account the percentage of us that don't really care and will just continue to use the default. Just because we/they don't wish to comment doesn't mean we're a minority.

Nice! That works... that also helped me to finally set the color for the MSEG Loop setting Normal/Infinite text. I spent hours trying to figure that one out!Urs wrote: Thu Apr 23, 2026 10:31 pmFind it in the pic/graphics thing (p) and adjust brightness/gamma etcpdxindy wrote: Thu Apr 23, 2026 9:16 pm In the images directory is a series of 100 png files showing the knob pointer in all orientations. Oh, I like your idea of coloring the ADSR labels
EDIT:
Okay, I set the ADSR color to match the Env name.
I also set the active LFO waveform color to match the LFO name color.

Yep. Fair point, BBFG#Never taking in to account the percentage of us that don't really care and will just continue to use the default. Just because we/they don't wish to comment doesn't mean we're a minority.

Is the performance expected to be improved? The interface appears with a lag at startup, and most of presets really cheallenge the cpu.

I never used Zebra before. I was confused I can click on the OSC tag and a drop down appears.
Would it not be cool to have a drop down icon besides the OSC and FILTER tags like in Hive2 ?

The old skin had module labels that did nothing and drop down "v" icons next to them that did. There was brought support for moving it all into the module labels.collider wrote: Fri Apr 24, 2026 5:34 am I never used Zebra before. I was confused I can click on the OSC tag and a drop down appears.

I must admit I don't know if that is best UX, I'll bring it up with the team.

Hmmm, we've pretty much reached the end of our possibilities in terms of optimisation. We did some big leaps (maybe 20% or 30% less CPU) during the beta stages, but from now on gains in CPU load are expected to be rather small.andy4trance wrote: Fri Apr 24, 2026 4:40 am Is the performance expected to be improved? One big thing we'll try to tackle is multicore support for the synth part, which has helped people big time with Diva. New CPUs pose some issues here though. Not easy, but we'll give hot a try in a few weeks and months.

Urs, what do you think about maybe gathering together all of the CPU-saving tips into one thread? There are a few in the manual, and quite a few have appeared in the beta threads. It would be good to see them all together, and also see if there's any hierarchy - like, what's the first thing one should try, then what next etc?
Sorry
for piling more work on...bet you thought you could relax now that Z3 is out in the world
Sorry

I can help with the first one, don't use the Yellow filter at max polyphony, not unless its cold in your studio and your heating isn't workingThoughtExperiment wrote: Fri Apr 24, 2026 8:05 am Urs, what do you think about maybe gathering together all of the CPU-saving tips into one thread?
