Of course you suck @ DIY, ever heard the terms "learning" and "trying again" ?
Nobody is born with nuts as his special ability, well, not sure about the first part.
Oops, almost made a dubious statement, this is a minefield.

At least I could avoid some of the worst wordings.
If that's too much, put s thin piece of veneer or plastic under the nut (of the guitar), or at least a piece of tin foil underneath the rattling strings inside the nut slots.
Hey, if you're cursed you can't afford to .... . ... .
There, finally censored.![]()
Oh well,

The SE EG arrived today, it's pretty cool but not as great as hibidy's SE Singlecut or the new SE Santana's. I guess this isn't one of those cases where older is better, it seems like PRS's Korean factory must have improved over the years.susiwong wrote:Looks cool !
I'm only familiar with the old, Fralin loaded model, they were awesome.![]()
Is this an SE ?
If so, how's the trem compared to a regular PRS ?
Buy a Gibson, but don't tell Hink !hibidy wrote:Well, I don't want trial and error.....I want things perfect........NOW

Regarding the trem, I'm not terribly impressed so far. It lacks the brass parts and locking tuners of real PRS's and the nut isn't done well (it's not polished, if you will).
Actually, neither do Isusiwong wrote: Seriously, every new Gibson I've played over many years needed a setup and some nutwork. They leave it to the store to fine tune the setup accordng to the customer's needs. Not everybody wants super low action.

Insist on watching next time, so you can talk to the guy who's actually doing it.hibidy wrote:These places wouldn't stay in business if they were always that bad, BUT it always happens to me.
A Suhr Rasmus is $899, here's why you want one:hibidy wrote:These places wouldn't stay in business if they were always that bad, BUT it always happens to me.
Let me add they use a Gotoh Floyd, tied with Schaller and the upmarket Ibanezes the top solution.Uncle E wrote:A Suhr Rasmus is $899, here's why you want one:
"Every Rasmus guitar will be Plek'd and set up by Suhr master builders before being shipped from the Suhr factory. Yes, we will disassemble each guitar, Plek the neck with our top-of-the-line Plek Pro computerized fret-leveling machine and do the set-up and QC check ourselves. You can be assured of superb playability due to the Plek process, excellent sound courtesy of the Suhr USA pickups, and reliable functionality offered by the same Gotoh bridges that we use on our own Suhr guitars."
Suhr is in Lake Elsinore so you just send your guitar back to them when you want a setup.
