barnadine - somewhat close but no gaulois, though 'Admiral' Nelson made me chuckle. :lol:

herbie flowers did indeed play bass on one of this Admiral's records.

the following statements are false but can be unscrambled to be correct:

A. Sandie Shaw was a session guitarist on the Admiral's first recording.

B. Jimmy Page covered one of the Admiral's earlier hits.

So, who is this French 'Admiral'?
