Thanks Gene. It does sound a bit Ozzy. Still new to all this SynthV stuff. I think it depends on what key you choose for the best fit.
The midi guitar sounds like fun!
Cheers.
Mike.

RapidComposer v4.7b11 is available!
Improvements:
Improvements:
- The Markov model is able to create repeating sections. Specify a repetition pattern.
- Conversion of a phrase to Markov Generator implemented
- Markov model: matching notes weight removed from the UI for simplification
- Fixed big leaps in the Markov model when used with input with only a few notes. Simple basslines that consist of only 3-4 tones work much better.

I wonder why Markov Generator creates only absolute notes? Wouldn't it be interesting to listen to the relative result in the context of the composition?

Really enjoying the Markov Generator. Could there be a feature where, if you drop a multi track midi, there was the option of merging all the tracks into a single polyphonic track in the generator? Hope that makes sense.
Cheers.

Quick question
In the midi mutator there's a timing section with the option to save a preset of the timing but how do you recall that saved timing and can you apply that to another MIDI file.? If you can't would it be possible to have the option to drop a MIDI file and extract the timing from that and apply it to your original MIDI

I think it can already use the rhythm from MIDI files, if that is what you meant:lovemusic15 wrote: Thu May 25, 2023 10:59 am Quick question

That is an excellent question, lulukom.lulukom wrote: Tue May 23, 2023 7:31 pm I wonder why Markov Generator creates only absolute notes? Wouldn't it be interesting to listen to the relative result in the context of the composition?
I was thinking if "conversion to chord-relative" option could be added (or at least to scale-relative).
The Markov generator uses scale notes internally, and can create chords freely (at the same time taking care of note motion and rhythm depending on your preference) but if you use different chords, the resulting connecting notes between the chords may not sound good. So I am not sure, I try to figure out something.
Thanks,
Attila

No I understand about the drop MIDI but my question is if you can save the timing then what is the benefit of saving the timing if you can't apply it to another phrase.
I was hoping that I could save the timing from the imported midi and apply that to another MIDI this function is very popular with the loopmaster's software that uses AI to find other samples with a similar syncopation
I understand how drop me works but unfortunately that affects the note lengths as well as the position I was looking for something that just moves the position and doesn't affect the note length.

RapidComposer v4.7b12 is available!
This update has a powerful feature: ghost tracks. Make a ghost copy of an existing track and apply variations on it.
Due to the lack of extensive testing and an internal change, ghost tracks won't be included in tomorrows v4.7 release.

Improvements:
- Ghost tracks (ghost copies can have their own variations and MIDI controllers) with "unghost" option.
- Markov generator: merging all the tracks into a single polyphonic track (multiple track selection)
- Markov model improvements for better results
- "movement" renamed to "melody" in the Markov generator for clarity

Hi.
For every Generator other than the "Markov Generator", when I drag one into the composition I get a visible phrase and can continue to work from there, varying parameters, pressing 'G", etc.
For the "Markov Generator" I get no visible phrase, just a title. I see no notes in the phrase and do not know how to proceed.
Could someone please guide me in the right direction here?
And as a question, FWIW, why should the "Markov Generator" behave differently from all the others?
Thanks.

Hello !
Or maybe someone will post a video on how to get something similar to musical phrases from this generator?)) I can’t do it))
And what kind of music is obtained, for example?)))

It is supposed to start out empty. You provide the midi to alter. That is the entire purpose of this one, to modify midi you provide. Wouldn't make sense to have it already populated. Just open the phrase inspector and drop midi on the drop zone.
It does have a couple of bugs at the moment, though.. but, it does work, and I think very well too.
Also found some issues with the ghost tracks, for one, there is no "un-ghost" option that I can see. There are also issues with phrases and such, but, I have to work with it a little more to be able to re-produce the issues. Unfortunately, it may be several days for me.
