Just a quick question regarding the CPU use with the synths, apparantly they are all pretty CPU hungry, and when you combine them in Fusor , you really need a powerful CPU to cope. I'm just wondering what CPU's are really coping well and which ones are not.

Macbook Pro 2.16 GHz Core Duo. 3 1/2 years old. Oversampling is set to 1 for real time. All synths work great, Fusor works great. Can run several instances of each synth no problem, with or without Fusor. Amber is the CPU killer, but by keeping the voice count to 1 as per the recent tip, it's not a problem.

CPU doesn't automatically go straight to 100% when using Fusor. It depends on the patch. Some factory presets are completely unusable on this system, so I don't even try.

On a 2009 Mac Pro 2.26 GHz it's a totally different story. 4 or 8 x oversampling in real time mode, many instances of each synth and high polyphony. 4 x oversampling sounds amazing, but isn't really necessary for mixing so generally keep them set to 2 x.
