Thanks Mirko! It's an honor to have you as a patron. I hope you had a blast with itMirko R. wrote: Tue Oct 09, 2018 5:18 pmbought! Cool stuff and great for Psy Trance.Touch The Universe wrote: Tue Oct 09, 2018 12:50 pm
Geodesic Frequencies is now out in the wild
It contains 128 patches with over 350 layers in total, with 100MB of unique multisamples and wavetables. All patches are assigned Modulation Wheel, macros, and velocity settings. I put a lot of effort into making sure its sounds as dynamic and lively as possible when playing on a midi keyboard.

It is great for Psy but can also work for just about any other genres imo.

Yes, these sounds are great. I think they are more relevant to ambient or psychill, but really great anyway.
Btw, if this was a "guess the synth" game I would probably say they are coming from a Virus TI, because they have that lush, big and creamy sound

You may think you can fly ... but you better not try

Thanks recursive. I know you have high standards for sounds and synths so its a big compliment. The patches really come to life when tweaking the macros or MW. I think this is one area that really separate high quality soundsets from others. Will share some videos playing and tweaking a few things.
Potential Genres: Progressive Trance, Psy/Goa, Ambient, Chillout, Psybient, Uplifting, EDM, Cinematic, Hybrid Cinematic, Soundtrack, Game Music, Future genres
These are the genres I like so much of the sounds I create tend to incline towards these naturally. Of course can be bent to taste easily enough

Finally, the RAPID User Manual as PDF !
From now on you can get and access it here https://parawave-audio.com/rapid_guide
Shoutout to Benjamin Beggs, who immensely helped with the creation.
It was a pleasure to work with you.
This is awesome. I bought Rapid a little bit ago and diving into this will be awesome for some of the things that aren't so surface-level.

I bought Rapid a little while ago.
Nice userfriendly synth with a broad pallet of sounds.
I'm glad Rapid is so actively being developed.
Enthousiastic about the upcoming fm possibilities.
My number 1 request would be some dsp work on the filter section. The oscillator section is impressive. I'm less impressed by the filtersection. The filters all sound quite digital.
One good analog emulation of a ladder filter (with bass compensation please) is my number 1 request.

Curious, what is bass compensation?

In a classic ladder filter when you boost the resonance, you start to loose the bottom end.
Bass compensation (i guess it's the right term) will compensate for that and see to it that there remains enough bottom end in the signal.

Wow, thanks so muchfluffy_little_something wrote: Tue Oct 09, 2018 4:17 pmI can't really comment on the patches themselves, not my genre, but unlike many other sound designers you surely deserve the asking price, given the amount of effort you have put into that set, also into the multimedia content on your siteTouch The Universe wrote: Tue Oct 09, 2018 12:50 pm

This sounds useful. Can you name a synth that has it so I can test it out?Stefken wrote: Thu Oct 11, 2018 9:33 am In a classic ladder filter when you boost the resonance, you start to loose the bottom end.

Synthmaster (one) has a boost function in the filter that does something along these lines.Touch The Universe wrote: Sat Oct 13, 2018 9:46 amThis sounds useful. Try for example the diode ladder LP24 in Synth Master One : the effect is pretty obvious there.
Apparently you can also hack a hardware ladder filter to create a bass compensation feature.
