I sent a few freezedump files through & that helped diagnose the issue.
Why would Avenger care about an unattached drive?
I asked the same question. Support didn’t know but apparently a fix is in the works.

Because the operating system tells it its there, but not ready. I had that in the past on Macs, and the timeout is way too long, and there is no error message, that would tell something like "Drive x needs too long to respond - shall I wait or cancel the operation"
Its a bug of the OS, but Avenger could catch it with a timeout and an error message...

I once had a PC where the real time audio performance was unusable if there was no disc in the DVD drive. With a disc in, it was as smooth as butter. Wouldn't have believed if it hadn't happened to me.

'puters, eh.

In old XP times this happened if there was no floppy in the drive. I always thought the devs who made this, never work with it themself. Good devs are lazy…

Hi, I have the latest version of Avenger and I opened an older project with a ton of avenger synths but they are all failing to work because Cubase is expecting "VPS Avenger_x64", how to solve this?

Edit: oh it was because I only had the vst3 version installed after a recent DAW reinstall, it was the vst 2.4 version it needed.

Techno 3
Manuel I should ask you 3 things if possible:

1-when is Eurodance 90 vol 2 coming out?

2- I know I asked you in the past and you told me that for Avenger 2 it was more complicated to make a "Hollywood" style library than Nexus, because on Avenger I think you told me for the management of the multisample and the heaviness of the samples, but will there ever be a library of real instruments on Avenger 2? In addition to strings, brass, cello harp etc... it would be great to also have many ethnic sounds, will it be something that will come out sooner or later or is there no plan?

3 and when will the update come out with the possibility of piano roll and midi import in the arpeggio/pianoroll part?

I hope you will answer me, thank you very much

1.) its already finished, just had no time for the demo and videos yet... I guess in late summer
2.) there are already "real" instruments in the cinematic XPs of avenger. A dedicated one is not planned, this is - as you said - Nexus territory
3.) we are already doing this atm

Ok thanks, I can't wait for Eurodance 90 vol 2 to come out, I hope it's full of multisamples, shapes and wavetables. yes yes I know that inside the cinematic expansions there are real instruments, I have them all (cinematic 1-2-3 and cinematic loop 1 and 2) and I can't wait for the update that implements piano roll and midi import to finally come out.

thanks for everything

should be easy if you create a folder for the expansion on your D drive and then open the V-Manager and then click on the "Choose" button.
Now select the folder on the D Drive. V-Manager should now ask if you want to move or copy the files to the new folder. If you move it, the V-Manager should also remove the expansions from the original folder on c.

for me the v-manager did only copy them so i needed to delete the expansions on c manually.
but before you delete them, may make sure that everything is copied correct.

95% of all expansions sounds the same to me. More variety is serverely needed. How about Soul/RnB, Drum and Bass, Pop/Rock? Synthpop? Electropop?

Enough with the eurodance stuff for a while. :P
