I also agree that colour and the skin in general, as well as how everything's organised in a sequencer, affects the way one makes music. That's maybe why I love FL's dark colour, it helps me to make my music darker.

One of the things that people doesn't take into account when working with a mixer, is the pre-post selection of a send route. I'm working live with a real analog mixer and lot of times i need to have my channels muted, but still routed to the send effects. It's lotsa interesting when u use reverb or delay (or even disto/drive) even for monitoring the send channels.
I would like to see in the next fruity mixer.
Then playing livesets will never been so easy !

But, Ferrari wouldn't do that. Companies like those know that customers prefer certain details in their products. I like reason because of its flat-bright background. The grey in FL just makes me feel like a silly drone when I use it. The color's in the music I suppose?

Shouldn't you work on improving your musical skills then?

If the overall color and/or appearance of your tools affect your music to a such degree...

Personally I like the Fl color scheme.
And the non standard placement of
the minimise/restore/close buttons.
Makes a refreshing change from the
standard colors/layouts every other
prog seems to use.

Not to mention that FL is a killer app
with many more features than Reason
etc etc .

And the price is very good too.......

It's a simple fact that aesthetic affects mood and mood affects creativity. I've got my Windows XP skinned dark, and lucky for me FL is already dark. Still, I understand the argument.

FL colour is also great because you can look at it for days without your eyes bleeding into themselves like they do with brighter screen displays. KEEP IT DARK!!!!!

I love FL's colors. They're great. But I do wish that they would like kinda remix it. Like the difference between ver 3 and 4. How long has it been the same for? I'm ready for a change, but I do like the colors alot. I guess one of the reasons I don't like Reason is because it's kinda boring to look at. FL is more interesting to me. And I know that's a matter of judging a book by it's cover, but seriously. Who dosen't like a pretty interface? Though my main concern about FL 6 will be CPU effeciency. One thing that Reason does have is amazing CPU usage. It's crazy, and I'm afraid that all of this new stuff is gunna be added and no CPU efficiency will be considered

Oh, it's a fact now?

Sorry to burst your bubble, but the variety of stuff I've heard done on any piece of software, hardware or musical instruments and tools in general highly suggest otherwise.

If I ever noticed that the looks of a piece of software affected my music making to a degree it was noticeable to a listener, I'd switch to something else. Highly recommended to everybody else as well.

I personaly would like to see something like the buzz machine window, Where all levels are right in front of your face all at once -in a symbolic free flow diagram.

OK I've said I'd like a differnt GUi and a modular mixer but the one thing I most need to get used to is how FL handels Audio in the audio tracks.

I just haven't adjusted from the way I am used to. (For days I kept erasing what I had just added by clicking on it, thinking I was going to select it or get a menu)
Is there an option for viewing a wave file you want to keep on disk, so you can cut out the parts you don't want?
