Actually, I wouldn't call the issue with the play button a bug - it was designed that way. I must admit though that after playing around with the old buzz version of liveslice (that works like you want it to) it is a better way of triggering with the mouse - at least it is better if you don't want to layer arrangements.
I'm seriously considering to change the behavior so that mouse triggering (using the play button) is monophonic (when you trigger one arragnement the playing arrangement is stopped) and then perhaps add a feature to right click an arrangement and have it play on top of the others (and it won't be stopped when another arrangement is triggered) - this would be the best solution I think, albeit a bit complex perhaps...
Note that what GilJ identified is the "trigger with host" feature that plays the selected arrangement as soon as the host sequencer starts, and forces monophonic arrangement playback changing arrangements via midi or mouse.
In any case I recommend you get used to triggering LiveSlice via midi, because it can be recorded - your mouseclicks can't.
Now if that wasn't confusing I dunno what confusing is

but if you do make it "monophonic" then synchronisation will need a bit of thought

Good work on v1.44beta1
And we've now got 3 banks of Arrangements Woohoo! (Not mentioned in the Release notes)

Here's a few things that I would like to see implemented:

FR 015 - select folder for recordings
- currently recordings go into the folder currently selected in the Browser
- in most cases, these new recordings will not really belong there
- could we have another specified folder, for Recordings?
- if its value is blank or spaces, then the folder currently selected is the Browser is used for recordings

FR 016 - Enable [M] and on padlocked tracks
when an Arrangement is padlocked, can the Mute and Solo and Audition (RMB) functions still work

FR 017 - Repeat Delay and Rate for Parameter Changes
when you hold down the Up or Down arrow key to adjust a Parameter value, can you make the delay before the repeat starts a bit shorter? Perhaps 0.5 seconds, or, even better, use the Repeat Delay and Repeat Rate set in the Windows Control Panel/Keyboard.

FR 018 - Refresh after Adding a Track
When I add a track, the GUI refreshes to display from track 1 downwards; it would be much better (and save unnecessary scrolling) if it refreshed to display the new track (At the bottom of the Arranger section

FR 019 - Refresh after Ctrl+V an Event
When I Ctrl+v an Event onto Track 5 (just for example), the GUI refreshes to display from track 1 downwards; it would be much better if it refreshed and stayed on the destination track

FR 020 - Highlight Playing Arrangements and Toggle Playing
I like the independent Playing of each Arrangement using the Play button, but:
- - when an arrangement is playing, can it be outlined in red, like when it is triggered by MIDI. So you can see which ones are playing
- - can RMB on an Arrangement be used to toggle its playing On/Off

FR 021 - Do not show Hidden Folders/Files in Browser
That is, Hidden in Windows, e.g. C:\System Volume Information, C:\Windows etc

FR022 - Swap Left and Right Pan display
It seems more natural to me if the upper half of the scale were Left pan and the lower half were Right pan

FR023 - RMB Beats in Arranger
RMB on the Beats value goes from 4 - 8 - 16 - 32 beats then back to 4, it should go from 32 to 64 (as you can drag it up to 64 anyway)

And a few bugettes (most are not new issues I think):

BR 018 - the Attack and Decay parameter values are not fully displayed
- they need to move to the right a little,

BR 019 - the Pan parameter range
This goes from R100 to R0 to C to L100 to L0, the L values should be from L0 to L100

BR 020 - Event length when dragging
I have an Event which is 5/16th long (don't ask why), when I drag it, only the first 2/16ths of the Event are displayed; when I release the LMB the whole Event is displayed correctly.

BR 021 - Dragging Parameter value changes value for preceding Event
If you are dragging a parameter slider and (accidentally) move just to the left of the Event, then the parameter value for the previous Event is changed, even if that previous Event is a long way away from the Event that you want to change. The previous Event should only change when you drag the mouse over it.

For track two I can change the Pan of the second hit OK, but, as in track 3, if I move just to the left of the second hit, then the Pan of the first hit is changed.

BR 022 - The 3 Banks tabs displayed in wrong position
The Bank tabs are only displayed in the correct place if the Number of Visible Tracks is 2. See the screenshot, too - when 3 tracks are displayed, the Tabs are in the heading of that third track.

BR1/ GUI not being correctly updated
1 - Load LiveSlice
2 - Click on Settings
3 - Set the 'Number of visible track' from 2 to 4
2 - Click on Settings in order to go back to the main window
The Bank tabs are not being updated correctly. I need to close LiveSlice and reopen it, in order to see the new Bank tabs in the right place (I.E. on the same line as the Play button)


BR2/ Arrangements' cells not always being updated
1 - Load a loop in LiveSlice
2 - Lock it to loop in the C1 Arrangement
3 - Click on Bank 3 tab, and select C5 Arrangement
4 - Click on Lock to loop
The C5 arrangement cell is not being updated, unless I select another arrangement cell

Anyway, thanks for this nice update Ohm ! I'll be carrying on more tests tonight and report here

Btw, we have reported the same B.R concerning the Bank Tabs... Great minds think alike ... well... may be not so alike , because I find it quite natural that the upper half scale is Right pan and the lower half Left pan concerning FR022:

right now RMB copies the arrangement which is currently selected to the cell you RMBed.. so that would mean to reassign the copy function to something else.

Yup! That sloved the issue I had originally stopped the sequencer so LS can play on its own. I'll just have to solo the track with EXT vst.

A good idea and not complex at all! I know i should be using MIDI but i am sans a MIDI controller for the time being.
I could make a template with trollo but first i have to stop being lazy.

I'll get back to reading the FRs....I bet they are good ideas

Going back to Ohm's suggestion, as RAW states, RMB copies an arrangement.
I feel it would be better to have instant options available in regards to layering or triggering arrangments independently. Using the LMB/RMB is perfect for this.

I like the idea of LMB= play arrangement exclusively/RMB= layer arrangements.

Basically any available shortcut to copy arrangements would suffice.
