Hush if u are a fan of Dylans check out Martin Scorsese's "No Direction Home", out on DVD. Its an interesting insight into the NY folk scene of the 50's-60's and Dylans early aspirations. This is a cool movie even if u r not a Dylan fan.

And I'm not a big Dylan fan, I prefer the singing of Guthrie, Houston and Seeger.

Wow. I've discarded another song for this contest. Now I'm on my fourth. Competition is so hard I can feel my inner red pencil is holding me back. Hm. That's one of my reasons to be in this in the first place: See theme, make song, post - all before that nagging doubt takes hold...

I THINK I might post the one I'm working on NOW, but that's not the one I was talking about earlier.

I've always wondered if Dylan's *incredible* lyrics and musical poetry could be fully appreciated by non-native English speakers -- needless to say, he was the muse for an entire generation...

Hmm, I guess it does read as kinda venomous, but you should hear me get started on my own generation.

Anyway, no sourness intended, Alex.

Hard to have a good old-fashioned spray on the internet without being misinterpreted, what with not hearing tone of voice etc.

But there's enough pointless ill-will on the net without my little rants being misread as hostile. I'll go give it an edit. Nah, better yet, I'll delete it.

I guess it's days like this ya just wanna go a get a small domesticated farm animal, a blow torch, a can of hair-remover, plenty of vaseline and spray-paint, a full-colour fold-out of Ben Kingsley, a 9mm spanner with hammer and a magnum of Galway Pipe and... well... you know what I mean...

If I didn't knew better I'd say Dylan is great, but he can easily walk underneath my arm...

Indeed incredible lyrics; he even invents new ones on stage. Strange guy, but very talented. Maybe that's why I found myself one night pulling and pushing his focking enormous flightcase with his garderobe through the rain and mud !
