Hi AdmiralQ,
Poly-Ana doesn't read the name of the saved program, or doesn't import it, or at least Cubase doesn't recognize it.
I created an empty patchbank for me to start programming, saved it, but after closing and re-opening Poly-Ana, and loading the empty patchbank, Cubase still displays the old patchnames of the erased patches. Probably needs some fixing there. Thanks.

Hi Dayl,
you probably installed the demo, right?
Look in the upper left corner, there should be your serial number, which you then use to pay and get your authorization.
Was that what you were asking?

I uninstalled the demo a while back.
thanks again.

This has been a known issue but I just looked at it one more time and was able to fix it!!! (Yes, it's been driving me crazy too!) Tomorrow's release will have that fix included, thanks for mentioning it.ViktorW wrote:Hi AdmiralQ,

Have you considered resetting the demo limitation so that those who wish to try it again can do so?

This could take a while so I'll try and speed things up. Are you going to reset the demo limitation so that those who wish to try it again can do so, and if so, when?

Yes. Tomorrow. (Probably late tomorrow, the way things are going... )
Cheers!

Just like to chime in as another very satisfied customer. I bought polyana very early on and aside from a small sse issue, was otherwise blissfully unaware of the plug's beta status. It's pretty much my main VAVSTi these days...

Damn. I'm so broke, it isn't even funny. I'll have to do you the disservice of picking this up at full price.

i wrote mike a pm a few days ago and i'd like to post it in this thread because poly-ana deserves the praise to be heard by others...

hi admiral,
i just checked out your polyana synth for the first time. the user interface had always seemed a little cluttered to me and i knew i couldn't afford yet another synth.
however, i do want to tell you that after having tried the synth i was EXTREMELY impressed - so many of the presets seemed (please excuse my mumbo-jumbo talk Embarassed) crunchy, just using the mod-wheel and playing a few notes was a real pleasure. i am happy with what i have, but i am pretty sure i've never used another softsynth that seemed to be crawling out of my computer into my ears - i am not talking about loudness or how phat or whatever else the sound is - the sounded seemed organic, full of life and detail, brittle crackling interweaving lush pads...
i am really sorry for using all the old and cheesy descriptions... i don't want to tell you that i'm 'blown away'... but it does feel that way. i love painting and drawing and maybe i can explain it better with an analogy (no pun intended Wink ) - poly-ana makes it seem like i am looking at a van gogh, not a shabby presentation on my computer screen. it's the difference between pacman and the reality of having a picnic with your girlfriend in the sunshine... mc donalds vs. a real(tm) meal...
hehe, i hope you're not getting pissed off by my raving - please be simply assured that the poly-ana was incredibly to experience. it is also one of the heaviest synths on the cpu i've encountered, but given its sound (and the possibility to reduce oversampling) that is simply an observation, not a complaint. one patch got my cpu to 50% with just one note held down...
i have never used an analog synth, neither do i pretend i can judge poly-ana in comparison to real analog synths - nevertheless on an emotional, aesthetic and personal level this synth really touched me as a work of art.
best,
fabian

Thank you for those very kind words fabi!
1.0 is coming later today folks, just a wee bit behind schedule but on the plus side, I just found and fixed a bug in Envelope 3!
So as you can see, changes are happening right up to the wire here. I know I said "today" but please forgive me if it's already tomorrow in most of the world before the 1.0 version gets posted. It IS coming, sometime in not too many more hours... Hang in there.
(Oh, I'm going to make you wait a few more days for new docs too. But won't hold up the release for that. Nobody reads them anyway.
)
Back to it...

Hi AQ, just purchased this synth, excellent sounds, great value, thanks.
Not that I've had time to read the instructions but is there a way to make the GUI smaller? I use a laptop with 1024 x 768 screen and I can't quite see the bottom of the synth, I hope there is nothing too important down there! I use Tracktion and it is impossible to drag the GUI higher up.
FR- I'm not very good at programming synths and rely on presets to start me off in the right direction, I'm especially interested in pad sounds and would love a bank of pad presets if that is at all possible (I make a lot of newage/ meditation type albums for clients). I know you are busy but I just thought I mention it.
Love your work, its a classic.
Mike

Thank you Mr. Tingle!
Might have something for your screen size problems soon, not yet though I'm afraid.
Many sounds will come. And yes, I think usually they'll be organized as entire banks of one type of sound. Pads for sure, soon.
