File mapping.
Specifically, the ability to change modular presets through midi (or any other remote means, like network). I would like to be able to load different 'snapshots' of modular routing from an external controller or another computer.
Thank you,
JR

Hi eXT,
I'd like to see
- options for changing the mouse scroll wheel functions/functionality in the keyboard shortcuts section.
- ability to select audio stretch type by key shortcut, or to cycle thru stretch types ala Cubase by repeatedly pressing a key (1).
- if i double click on a .xt project, eXT will open according to its startup settings...and not open the project i just clicked on. Pls fix this. I have so many quickstart templates on my desktop, but this just defeats the object!
Cheers,
Paul

I must admit I haven't read thru this entire topic, so please forgive if I'm repeating anything...
- i want to be able to chop up audio on the timeline, and then drag the bits and pieces onto the drum sampler pads. I often find incidental bits of audio in my work which work great as abstract percussive elements or drones. Dragging and dropping onto pads would be awesome.
- i want to be able to reorder tracks in the track pane without using the up/down buttons. just drag n drop please.
- i always wonder why the right click menu/dock has a submenu "new page". Can't i just click on "dock" to dock the page?
- i really want support for ACID loops...even if it's not automatic...i don't mind right clicking on a clip and selecting "fit to tempo" (for instance)
- I'd like the Synthesizer to remember my MIDI CC assignments globally, not just per patch
- i love the way you can loop a drumbeat, but still record beyond the loop region (while the loop keeps playing). I wish the VST version could do similar by looping a drumbeat even though the host isn't looping, ie independent loop region and behaviour to host, although locked to tempo and transport.
Finally...i just want to say that I've owned eXT for a couple weeks now, and it's the most fun I've had in a long time DAW-wise. It's my goto jam tool, (bye bye Cantabile), sound design environment, song starter, and it keeps up with my crazy hair-brained routing and tweaking, responding as fast as i can work. Fantastic.

I use a nuch more sophisticated sequencer.
I would mind to trade it for XT if it had the possibility of recording audio just like XT1.
It's heartbreaking, because otherwise XT would be my first choice.

Having the ability to switch from poly to mono in the drum sampler along with a oneshot mode so that when you load a drumloop or something you want to retrigger it does not overlap. Most hardware samplers (MPC's and Rack samplers)have this feature. I produce hiphop and r&b and this is something I rely on. Also different quantizing options like 16 triplets etc.

- I'd like to see the option to have a drumsampler-like clickable grid on any MIDI track. When I use a drum synth VST plugin (i.e. Drumatic), it's a real pain to handle all the tiny notes.
- dragging samples between different instances of the drumsampler, so I don't have to load a complete sampler just to use a single sound out of it.

Click on a .xt file to open XT with that project loaded.
Proper MIDI for drum tracks (no point in using drum tracks for me at the mo as they're not exported as MIDI).
Inputs / outputs available as individual left right channels in modular view.
Cheers.

Hello,
I've only just started using XT2.5 but I would like to be able to set the exact values on the following:
- Sliders in the mixer view. E.G. So I can type in -4Db.
- Velocity of notes in the piano roll.

1. Dbl. click drum track to (full) midi editor.
2. Drum Sampler — multi-outs.
Thats it!
